Romney ad: "Looks like a one-term proposition"

Team Romney released a new ad after President Obama’s fail of an economic speech in Ohio on Thursday, in which Obama chided and reminded us about all of the reasons why the many ‘headwinds’ facing the economy are the fault of other people, and why he needs four more years to get this ship turned around. Oh, really, now?

It’s always fun using the president’s own words against him — you just can’t argue with that face! — but this effectively demonstrates just how tenuous President Obama’s “on-the-job training” has been. Obama presumptuously imagined that he’d be able to right the economy with his big-government agenda; then, reality came home to roost. Most inconvenient.

Here’s Mitt Romney’s accompanying statement:

“Now when he was recently elected he went on ‘The Today Show’ and he was asked about what he’d do, how he’d measure his success, and he said: ‘Look, if I can’t turn the economy around in three years, I will be looking at a one-term proposition.’ And he’s right; he is looking at a one-term proposition. He’s going to be saying today that he wants four more years. He may have forgotten he talked about a one-term proposition if he couldn’t get the economy turned around in three years, but we’re going to hold him to his word.”
