The Ed Morrissey Show: Kerry Picket, Brett McMahon

Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), Kerry Picket of the Washington Times joins me to talk about Jimmy Carter and his accusations of racism. We’ll talk about the video Kerry posted yesterday from Carter in August 2008 discussing Obama, and we’ll also talk about the history in Stephen Hayward’s book that makes Carter a rather unreliable judge on racism.

In the second half, we welcome again Brett McMahon, representative of the Associated Builders and Contractors and VP of Miller and Long concrete construction. Brett will discuss the political favors that the unions are getting under the Obama Administration, as he did in his Human Events column. As the AFL-CIO holds its annual meeting this week, non-union construction workers face outright discrimination as a result of a Big Labor payback from the President. Obama’s little-known Executive Order 13502 encourages Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) on federal construction projects costing more than $25 million and discriminates against 8 in 10 non-union construction workers. Unions also stand to gain easier unionization under another payoff known as the Employee ‘Forced’ Choice Act.

We will try to get out a few minutes early, because Jazz Shaw and Betty Jo Tucker will be interviewing Debbie Reynolds at Movie Addict Headquarters Radio at 4 pm ET. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear from one of America’s national treasures of stage and screen!
