Young Brits: Hell, No, We Won't Go

Is it any surprise that a growing number of young Brits say that "under no circumstances" would they ever go to war for Britain?

Why would they? It's not like the people in charge of the country have given them a reason to believe that the country is worth fighting for. These days, even waving a flag will get you in trouble with the police.

Britons are pessimistic about the future, for obvious reasons, and an increasing number feel their country has abandoned them

Half of young people say they would never take up arms for the UK, a poll has found.

Asked whether they would be willing to go to war for Britain, 50 per cent of those aged 16 to 29 said that “under no circumstances” would they go to war.

Only 38 per cent said they would do so “under some circumstances”, while the rest did not know.

It is the latest survey to suggest that Gen Z is much less patriotic than older generations, and exposes the generational divide over questions of identity and national pride.

The poll of 2,000 people aged from 16 to 29, commissioned by the John Smith Centre at Glasgow University, found that the number expecting their lives to be better than their parents’ had halved in a year – from 63 per cent to just 36 per cent.

Only 25 per cent said they felt the political system treated them fairly.

I'm not sure why anybody would be surprised to learn that young people are giving up on the idea of allegiance to their country and culture. The people who run the country keep telling them that they are evil oppressors, that they need to be replaced by a new generation of migrants, that being proud of their heritage is oppressive and evil, and that even questioning the direction the country is going is racist.

Three hundred people a day are arrested in the UK for saying the "wrong" things, and the "wrong" things are usually posts about how they worry that British culture is in danger.

If preferring British culture is basically illegal, why would anybody want to fight to maintain it?

What makes things even worse is that the Labour Party apparently revels in slandering and persecuting its soldiers. There has been a campaign to slander soldiers, and the man who helped lead it was made the Attorney General by Keir Starmer.

He participated in a scheme to persecute SAS soldiers based on lies by Iraqi terrorists, and it has come out that he had reason to believe that the accusations of war crimes against them were made up

Lord Hermer pursued a notorious “witch hunt” against British troops despite being warned that the allegations were lies, The Telegraph can disclose.

An investigation by this newspaper can reveal the Attorney General’s leading role in the Al-Sweady scandal, which left decorated war heroes facing false accusations of murder and torture for more than a decade.

Emails and legal documents show that Sir Keir Starmer’s closest Cabinet ally acted as lead counsel in civil claims against the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and pressed for lucrative compensation despite mounting evidence that his eight Iraqi clients were “on the make”.

The Attorney General later insisted that it made no difference whether his clients were “a saint or a member of al-Qaeda” while suing British troops under human rights laws.

One leading lawyer has now called for Lord Hermer to face a misconduct investigation over his part in the scandal, while a former head of the Army said his role was tantamount to “treason”.

When you know that the people who run your country are trying to destroy it, and you, it's pretty hard to come up with a good reason to risk your life to preserve it.

“We sacrificed 100,000+ girls in the name of multiculturalism”

Investigative journalist Julie Bindel (@bindelj) sits down for a forensic and disturbing conversation on organised child sexual exploitation and institutional failure in Britain.

We discuss the recent r*pe gang inquiry currently taking place, and new details about how these gangs weren’t just operating in Britain but were trafficking internationally…

There is a whole-of-government effort to suppress Britons' sense of community and patriotism, and it has been working over time, although perhaps not in the way that the elite intended. Rather than getting everybody to embrace a notional "multiculturalism," they have created a sense of alienation and cynicism.

The capital city of London is now inhabited by a majority of people who are not, in fact, English or, in many cases, even British. The buildings are largely the same as they were 20 or 30 years ago, but the population seems alien to them.

Britain is in the midst of a cold civil war, and at the same time, the people who run the country say they want to put the country on a war footing and become militarily independent from the United States.

Good luck with that.
