Sympathy for the Devil

One of the most striking and troubling elements of elite attitudes and the discourse that arises from them is that the bad guys are always "contextualized," and, in the process, excused for their evil deeds.

So much so that we are subjected to moral inversions, where predators are, we are told, the victims of societal structures and prejudices. At least that's true if the predator in question fits into a category that appeals to their bleeding hearts. Nobody cares about the backstory of a white supremacist, but they sure do when an Islamic terrorist or a migrant gang member goes on a rampage.

It is, on its face, bizarre. If you look at the behavior of liberals when it comes to criminals and deviants who cause enormous damage, it seems to make no sense.

Why would they start "contextualizing" evil, and by extension laying the groundwork for excusing it?

The answer, I think, is actually quite clear, but recognizing the underlying truth requires you to get into the mind and motivations of the liberal thought leader who lures people into thinking this way.

In other words, you have to wrap your mind around the fact that their goal is to reshape society radically, and their method is sowing chaos and doubt in the minds of others.

Like most things having to do with the modern left's project, there actually aren't a lot of dots to connect. You don't need to put up newspaper clippings on a board and string lines between them to create some fantastical theory that leads to this hidden cabal with this goal in mind.

If you pay attention to liberals and what they say, they are quite clear that they view modern Western society as corrupt, repressive, systemically racist, and built on a colonialist mentality intended to oppress people. They write books, hold conferences, set up curricula in schools and universities, and build entire bureaucracies based on this theory of Western society.

Unlike, say, the color revolutions and laundering money through NGOs and USAID to create a false reality and new international power structure—the METHODS they use to implement their agenda—the people who promote the tactics and develop the strategies are pretty explicit about their goals.

You can go to the World Economic Forum and read all about their agenda. You can read countless books and papers, or watch conferences on YouTube, all explaining that the goal is a revolution in society, preferably not using violence, but if necessary, doing so.

When the National Library Association elects a Marxist to lead their organization based on a platform of using libraries as a center of socialist organizing, it's not a secret.

The agenda is laid bare for all to see, but ordinary people refuse to believe it because it is so obviously evil.

When we point this out we are called conspiracy theorists, and many people actually believe that. But that is because they believe Pravda Media, which scoffs at the idea that the people who say these things and openly admit their goal is to upend society actually mean them.

Liberals have sympathy for the devil—including actual terrorists, murderers, drug dealers, gang members, and even rapists is that they see them as rebels against a society that is fundamentally evil.

Terrorists and criminals are seen as useful tools to destabilize societies, just as riots described as protests are intended to disrupt society and create conditions for radical change. In places like Portland, policymakers import homeless people, distribute deadly drugs, and encourage lawlessness.

Those aren't unintended consequences of misguided policies. When liberals talk about defunding the police, they are not speaking metaphorically. They will even say so often enough, unless they are up for reelection and need some moderate votes.

Ordinary people who get  taken in by the social justice rhetoric and who start feeling guilty about their privilege don't grasp that their way of life is the target to be destroyed. It seems incomprehensible. Because they can't grasp that such evil is possible, they "recontextualize" the left's language and assume they just mean creating equal opportunity for all.

Nope. They mean what they say. They really are on the side of the Devil.
