Joe Biden Hasn't Mentioned 'Bidenomics' on Twitter in 136 Days

Remember the good ol' days when President Biden kept touting his economic policies?

"Bidenomics," he called it. He did it for years.

Not so much anymore.

On the one hand, it's unsurprising that the White House has dropped the term like a hot potato. Nobody was buying what he was selling because it had gotten just too damn expensive.

On the other hand, in 2022 and 2023 Biden wouldn't shut up about his economic policies and worked like the Devil to impress upon us that the roaring economy was due to his excellent policies.

“Milton Friedman isn't running the show anymore” because Joe Biden is.

This is Biden's last mention of "Bidenomics" on Twitter:

Let's just say that the comments section on the tweet were unkind.

The "Bidenomics" label was always a bit bizarre. Not because the policies didn't reflect Joe Biden's grasp of and policies for the economy, but because those policies were and remain deeply unpopular. Anybody with a lick of sense should have known that the policy priorities pursued by the Biden administration were aimed at reducing economic growth and shifting from a prosperity economy to a no-growth, less consumption economy.

Those were literally the goals. They knew they were the goals, didn't they? Or are they so stupid as to believe that reducing energy use, regulating the heck out of the economy, shutting down mining, killing internal combustion engine cars, and making everything more expensive would immiserate people?

Heck, these people believe in "degrowth." That is about as American as eating bugs instead of hamburgers.

All those solar panels are made in China, and the wind turbines in Europe and China. If you haven't been following the Siemens debacle, it's a doozy. They are losing money hand over fist.

Biden's proxies are still talking up the economy, trying to convince us that things are great. Americans know better. No matter how many times a liberal tells us that we have never had it so good, people look at their energy, housing, and grocery bills and balk.

Of course, the economy IS good for most people in the laptop class, so they are genuinely mystified about our discontent. But the Biden people can read the polls and have realized that shutting up about the economy is the best move.

Instead, they are doing their best to buy votes that they can't earn any other way.
