The City of Denver has informed workers that it may be furloughing them--technically still employing them at 0 hours of work--to illegally hire illegal aliens without work permits.

As Denver faces a budget crisis due to 40,000 illegal immigrants arriving in the last year, the city is using its resources to get the migrant population employed, warning hourly workers that they may lose hours to illegal immigrants and using the public school system to help the illegals get work permits, according to emails obtained by The Daily Wire.
Denver’s 9 News reported on Monday that the City of Denver warned its workforce of job cuts, reporting that while the city “says it is NOT laying off employees to pay for the migrant crisis,” it “IS telling hourly employees they may have their hours reduced to zero.” Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) told the outlet that because companies are generally barred from hiring illegal immigrants, the city may simply start hiring illegal immigrants itself — even though that is also illegal.
Denver's leadership is quite insistent that it isn't laying off any of its current employees. They are keeping them on the payroll, technically, just not giving them any hours and hence will not be paying them.
Sounds like a perfect example of Bidenomics to me.

Colorado's politicians aren't even pretending that this scheme is legal; they just don't believe that the federal government will call them out on it, and you have to admit they have a point.
When was the last time Alejandro Mayorkas did anything to enforce immigration laws? Never?
“If the federal government wants to come down and throw the book at us, we’ll deal with the legal costs,” Hickenlooper said.
Emails obtained under public records laws show that the city is also using its schools in the effort to get illegals employed. Denver Public Schools (DPS)worked with the city to help illegal immigrants get work permits, giving visas to foreigners to work for the school system so that schools have “adults who are reflective of our students.”
It's almost as if they are trying to prove that the great replacement theory is true, just in case anybody hasn't figured it out already. The schools are filling up with illegal aliens, so the school officials need to hire more illegal aliens to ensure that the students feel really at home.
Denver's not the only place in the country where governments are hiring illegal aliens. New York Governor Kathy Hochul is proud to promote her own program to hire illegals and ship them around the state.

You have to watch the whole video. One line I really loved was the description of the program as "part of an effort to bring new blood to a shrinking state workforce."
New York is literally driving people out of the state, importing illegal aliens, getting rid of job requirements like being educated and speaking English, and hailing it as bringing in "new blood."
And they call people conspiracy theorists for calling this a "replacement." That is literally what this is. Move out the old, move in the new. What else would you call it?

Look at Leftist policies: the active discouragement of having children--whether through abortion, aggressive birth control, anti-child propaganda (be a DINK!, it's great to be without children!), and pushing an LGBTQ+ agenda. Reduce the population and workforce.
Then, open the borders and bring in a flood of illegal migrants, saying we haven't enough people. Drop the job requirements and insist that kids be around people who "look like them." Viola! You are shrinking the native-born and expanding the population with imports from around the world.
Geez.
All this makes perfect sense to the upper-class component of the Democrat coalition, but the working class is catching on, as they are the victims being sacrificed. That Democrats don't seem too concerned about this either means they are truly stupid or that they have ideas about how they can win elections without their traditional working-class voters.
I fear it is the latter.
