Minnesota's "woman of the year" is a man

Because of course “she” is.

At the risk of being accused of “stochastic terrorism,” I am compelled to state the obvious: it is not the case that every woman in the State of Minnesota is less worthy than the natal male Leigh Finke.

USA Today begs to differ. Every woman in my state is less worthy of national recognition for excellence in womanhood than Finke.

“She” looks like a dude in a dress, and that is because “she” is a dude in a dress.

Yet we are to believe that a man cosplaying as a woman is the most praiseworthy woman in the state.

Leigh Finke has always fought to change the world for the better.

Growing up in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Finke was always interested in politics but never planned to be a political candidate herself. In November after her first bid for public office, Finke became the first transgender legislator appointed to the Minnesota House of Representatives after winning 81% of the vote in her district.

Finke has been an activist for transgender and LGBTQ+ rights, as well as Black Lives Matter, almost her whole life.

After transitioning in 2017 Finke said politics began hitting “a lot closer to home.” Witnessing national and coordinated attacks against the rights of transgender people and others in her community motivated her to be the representation Minnesota was lacking.

Finke must be one impressive “woman,” since “she” rose from being just a guy to the most impactful woman in my state is less than 6 years. It’s the same path that transgender athletes take so often: a mediocre man becomes an exceptional woman, not through hard work, diligence, accomplishment, or anything similar. They do it by pretending to be a woman, and the rest of society applauds them and plays along.

We are constantly lectured about The Science™, and indeed there of plenty of people who call themselves scientists who argue that natal males and females can shed their sex and transform magically into another, or none at all.

We get lectures about seahorse sexuality, natal males getting cervical cancer without having a cervix, transgender female periods, and other irrelevancies and fantasies. Every biology textbook has been tossed out the window for no other reason than to flatter the delusions of mentally ill people.

And it isn’t even disputable that they are mentally ill and deserving of compassion. “Dysphoria” is by definition a mental state, and the only evidence that a person is “born in the wrong body” (an absurdity) is the claim. Logically there is zero difference between that claim and the claim that a person is an eagle trapped in a human body. Or a space alien. Or whatever.

If one’s sex is a purely mental construct, then what isn’t? If we can deny physical reality here, why only here?

The answer is simple: it isn’t only here. There are furries, dog soldiers, demons, whatever.

It is wrong to blame transgender folks for what is happening in our society. Sure, some of them do bad things and should be punished for it, but that is true for everybody. A transgender person just living their life the best way they know how may not legitimately demand we all participate in their choices, but they have no less right to make them than any of us.

The people at fault here are the ones who elect Finke, elevate “her” to iconic status, and impose her desires on women who lose their privacy rights and ability to compete in sports for no other reason than some critical theory types want it.

The goal has little to do with transgender rights or anything so banal. It is the destruction of all norms in society. This is about the children. The point of icons is to create images for people to emulate.

For children to emulate.

The message: kids, be like Leigh.
