A floating island loaded with green, healthy-looking trees has been spotted drifting around Williston Lake in Canada, and we've never seen anything like it.
Rocky Avery, a British Columbia local resident and boater, shared a video of the strange floating 'island' on social media.
Technically, it's more like a raft than an island, with trees and other plants growing on something seemingly buoyant, like driftwood.
The reservoir is managed by BC Hydro, a power company that harnesses electricity from the dam.
Since it's 2026 and the internet is swamped in AI-generated videos, BC Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer was rightly suspicious of the reports at first.
"It's certainly something we've not heard of before," Gammer told Matt Preprost at CBC (the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). "And with not very many people reporting it, it was difficult to locate."
