Video: Late night with Herman Cain

Herman Cain has never been known to be shy about what he thinks. Last night on the Tonight Show, Cain told host Jay Leno exactly what he thought of each of his fellow competitors — in as few words as possible.

“You know this is going to get me in trouble,” Cain laughed, before saying Rick Santorum is “stressed,” calling Ron Paul a “grumpy old man” and reducing Mitt Romney to “good hair.”

Other candidates fared better: Rick Perry scored a “good governor,” Newt Gingrich earned the high praise of “brilliant” and Michele Bachmann merited “very nice lady.”

About Jon Huntsman, Cain could think of nothing to say except, “He wears ties just like Mr. Cain.” Looks like Huntsman isn’t particularly memorable even to his rivals.

Cain also again responded to Sarah Palin’s comments earlier this week, playing up his magnanimity toward her.

“I’m going to forgive her, doesn’t know that only my enemies call me Herb,” Cain said. “I’m going to forgive her this time.”

And that flavor-of-the-week remark? Cain said, if he is a flavor, it’s Haagen-Dazs black walnut — substantive.

“It lasts longer than a week,” he said.
