To cleanse the palate, a mesmerizing little trifle making the rounds to the tune of a million and a half views on Twitter. It makes me think of Michael Cohen and Stormygate. How did something as simple as paying off a mistress, the legal equivalent of taking a sip of OJ here, set all this in motion?

The right-wing equivalent, PatriotHole, goofing on populist platforms like Breitbart and InfoWars has been around for awhile. I didn’t expect them to uncork a left-wing complement but a comic sensibility is like a heat-seeking missile and a group as self-serious as the hashtag-Resistance is putting out a lot of heat. Ultimately the target simply had to be destroyed.
