Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

Benghazi probably would have been the lead story on the Sunday shows today purely by dint of Ben Rhodes’s e-mail but Boehner announcing a select committee yesterday cinched it. Among the Republican headliners booked this morning to discuss next steps: Jason Chaffetz on “Meet the Press,” Kelly Ayotte on “Fox News Sunday,” and Lindsey Graham, who called the White House “scumbags” for not releasing Rhodes’s e-mail sooner, on “Face the Nation.” Actual quote:

“Some guy said this about me yesterday on the left: The only reason I cared about this was because I have six tea party opponents. Well, if that’s true, I’m the biggest scumbag in America,” he said…

The radio host thanked Mr. Graham for “fighting the good fight” and holding those accountable, to which the senator replied: “The scumbags are the people in the White House who lied about this.”

How dare anyone call a guy capable of saying things like this a scumbag. As you watch, remember that Grahamnesty probably has another 25-30 years in the Senate ahead of him. Good work, South Carolina.

Elsewhere, Rick Perry will be on MTP to celebrate Toyota’s relocation from California to Texas. Romney was “the business candidate” in 2012. Is Perry the business candidate in 2016? The full line-up is at Politico.
