From Sharron Angle, an ad that’s ostensibly about Harry Reid and yet … not really about Harry Reid at all. I dig it, but I wonder if it’s a strategic error. I can’t find credible recent numbers on Obama’s and Reid’s respective approval and favorable ratings in Nevada, but I’m willing to bet that the former are comparable and that The One leads in the latter. (How could he not? Anyone’s more personally likeable than Dingy.) If so, you’re not really weighing Reid down by linking him to Obama. If anything, you’re giving his otherwise charisma-less existence a tiny bit of charisma by association.
Not-so-fun fact to bear in mind as you watch: Unemployment in Las Vegas hit 15 percent today, a new record. Meanwhile, when pressed for an explanation as to why Democrats are doing so horribly in the polls, Harry Reid said — actually, I’m not going to tell you what he said. By now, you should be able to guess the answer. It’s the same answer they all give. Right, that one.
Update: Conservatives 4 Palin e-mails with a fact check: Apparently, Obama’s as unpopular in Nevada as Reid is. Must be the poor “messaging.”
