Granted, the 2000 election was an especially tough loss, but … the Goracle bounced back reasonably well, no? Oscar-winning documentary, Nobel prize, rock-star status among the left, de facto pope of the world’s environmentalists, grand old man of his party. And don’t forget that “Rock the Climate” concert or whatever that he organized a few years ago. For having suffered such supposedly “irreparable harm,” he seems to have repaired nicely.
