He claims he didn’t know what he was in for. Judging by his demeanor, I believe him. I’m not going to throw stones at Maddow for being partisan or for being snarky about it (especially since, unlike some people, she’s willing at least to have conservatives on her show), but I will chuck one at her for suddenly being a stickler about the difference between pointed criticism and hair-raising demonization. Her buddy Keith long ago crossed the line between the former and the latter. Given how often she’s appeared on his show and how chummy they seem to be, if she has any big problem with him for that, it’s escaped my attention.
