...and now a sudden rápidamente pivot away to, I guess, a couple of guys they already had safely in hand.
Let's tide everyone over with what we've got going for us until the midterms, eh, kiddies?

OOFA!
Desperate to solidify some sort of image besides just being barking mad socialists on steroids, Democrats had started this 'we're too sexy for ourselves' campaign with a tentative toe in tepid water about two weeks ago, just prior to the first round of really high-profile primaries.
Behold the Democrats' robust political substance..."a sexy socialist summer" as “hotness becomes an essential part of Left-wing campaigns”.https://t.co/34ursZImdo pic.twitter.com/PsHhldczVI

Yeah, to be fair, some of the lookers won, but it was in spite of themselves and with nowhere near the blowout numbers the polling had indicated they were going to.
Some of the little hateful, anti-American weirdos even lost, which is not sexy.
🚨 DEMOCRATS’ “SEXY SOCIALIST SUMMER” IS ALREADY FIZZLING

The left is out here pushing socialist candidates in tight black T-shirts…
And Michigan voters just said “no thanks.”

Latest Fox poll:
Mike Rogers +4 over Abdul El-Sayed
Turns out Blue’s Clues nostalgia and hanging with Hasan Piker isn’t the flex they thought it was.
Meanwhile Kamala is out here calling the American Dream a “myth” and floating expanding the Supreme Court + ending the Electoral College.
Joey Jones nailed it:
She was the status quo. She can’t run from the Biden inflation she helped create.
Trump’s take on AOC & Co. trying to walk back the woke:
“They all try to disavow it… but people know they are woke. And the woke will become woke again as soon as they are elected.”
Sexy socialism is dead on arrival.
America isn’t buying it. 🇺🇸
Oh, 'sexy socialism' might seem silly to us, but when it's all they've got, being plum out of cousin-marrying, chick-slapping loggers, and Nazi-tattooed oyster-farming 'manly men,' sexy is what they'll run with.
They have no defined Democratic brand but bat-guano crazy right now.
And everyone knows it stinks.
IT KIND OF SMELLS LIKE A NEW YORK SIDEWALK IN THE SUMMER
Even Left-Wing Propaganda Network @CNN's Data Guru Harry Enten (@ForecasterEnten) Is Forced To Admit DEMOCRATS ARE FAR LESS POPULAR THIS MID-TERM THAN THEY WERE IN TRUMP'S FIRST MID-TERM ELECTION. pic.twitter.com/vZWU4QU4AL

So 'sexy' it is, and the tools at Axios will help, because they watch Harry Enten's little segments on CNN, too, as much as they don't want to admit it.
.@ajlotz8 reports on Dems latest campaign tactic: thirst traps.
— Alex Thompson (@AlexThomp) August 18, 2026
Unbuttoned shirts on CNN.
Exposed bicepson the rally stage.
Made-for-TikTok thirst trap b-roll.
And the return of the tan suit.https://t.co/tPpf4CMdLV
These people over-engineer and overthink everything. Which is great for us, don't get me wrong.
But they are so fakey-phony, putting so much effort into being 'effortlessly' cool that the slick factor is through the roof.
...The big picture: Democrats are working through identity growing pains between the left flank and the party's establishment. But with moderates and progressives alike, Dems are playing the sex appeal card.
- The party's main TikTok page has given big names the thirst trap treatment, including: Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) (nicknamed "Senator My Boo" by internet fans), Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed in his tight-fitting T-shirts, a grinning NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and former President Obama with a touch of gray, among others.
- The ladies — like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Michelle Obama — have gotten their share of screen time too, though Weinstein notes the Dems' page has made a "very intentional choice to feature the most attractive male members."
And check out that last bullet point, particularly the part I highlighted in the sentence. Democrats are purposefully featuring the 'most attractive MALE members'?
Well, that's all well and good, and eye-candy, even if it's a communist, is always better than Bernie Sanders. But isn't the core problem that Democrats are facing still the party's rejection by white working-class males - MALES, MEN, TESTOSTERONE - the majority of whom are straight?
Why would men, those men, care that Jon Ossoff is wearing a skin-tight sports shirt, or that El-Sayed's chest hair is trimmed so it doesn't cascade over his V-neck black sweater like a Serengeti lion's mane?
Newsflash - they don't.
And those autoworkers and average guys that have walked away from the bat-guano crazy, AWFL-infested Democratic Party now drooling over these same fellows don't give the first rip about anything having to do with Mayor Pete. That guy's playing to an audience the Democrats already have locked up - AWFLs' LGBwhatevers, and Soys.
So what is the ever-loving point of 'socialist sexy' other than a vanity show to at least look good as they get their butts handed to them?
Nothing in this narcissistic parade draws one working-class, non-college-educated white male back to vote blue.
The Axios author also makes another miscalculation here;
...Between the lines: A resurgent MAGA world mastered the production of Mar-a-Lago/country-club chic in the 2024 election, Weinstein says, while Democrats were sometimes seen as "schlubby and … nerdy, or the sort of other end of the spectrum, which was like … blue-haired."
- Now, "Democrats are really working hard on TikTok, especially, to figure out what the brand is now," she says, and "rizz, for lack of a better word, is the dominant feature."
The Trumps ARE country club chic, you dolt. They own them. Whatever 'MAGA World' is, it sure didn't ape the Trump style. People who supported and voted for Trump look exactly the way they did before and after he was elected. There was no Trumpian transformation of Republicans, which is also why we can walk unrecognized as such on any given street in America.
But every last pajama boy and Democratic operative most certainly assumed their uniform - wonk glasses, the haircut, khakis (always good ones), the simpering look- and they are instantly identifiable.
It's so superficial. A way to ID each other across a room.
The other hurdle for Democrats that we Republicans don't ever have to deal with is highlighted in that bullet point - figuring out 'what the brand is NOW.'
That's what happens when you never really stood for anything solid to begin with.
They don't call it a 'core' for nothing.
I am delighted with the sexy focus. Beefcake away, me hearties.
It's a waste of assets and time on yet more frivolous bull, which Democrats are proving yet again is the one thing they are ever so adept at.
