Dems Magic Tricks: Illegals Who Were 'NEVER on Medicaid' Have Suddenly 'Lost Access'

It's like that old Rocky and Bullwinkle magician's act with Democrats.

BULLWINKLE MOOSE/Dems: Hey, Rocky/Americans! Watch me pull a rabbit/BS sob story outta my hat!

ROCKY THE SQUIRREL/Americans: AGAIN? But that trick NEVER works.

BULLWINKLE MOOSE/Dems: This time for sure!

It's an inevitable bust, and so it was again with Democrats posturing against the Big Beautiful Bill's provisions stripping a rumored 1.4 million illegal immigrants from US taxpayer-funded healthcare.

I wrote about it at the beginning of the month, not because I didn't believe it was a great idea, or didn't know there were most assuredly buttloads of illegals glomming up tax dollars that Americans who truly needed help weren't able to access. Nah.

I had to write about it because Democrats were so over the top with their emotional, theatrical performances against it.

And then there was this, from the former Speaker of the House and now Speaker of the Narrative, Hakeem Jeffries.

Just as there were no infidels anywhere near Baghdad, there were no illegal immigrants anywhere near Medicaid.

Not a 'single, undocumented immigrant...gets a dime in federal taxpayer dollars,' neh-vah, eh-vah, eh-vah.

Pinkie swear.

In a brilliant piece of political maneuvering, while the Senate shot down Sen Marsha Blackburn's official amendment closing the illegal access loophole, the language already in the bill was tweaked to achieve the same result regardless. And when the bill passed, illegals, no matter how the states manipulated the federal dollars underpinning their Medicaid programs, could not have a dime of those to use for their healthcare. Those who did started losing percentages of the federal handouts.

Which shouldn't have made a lick of difference, as we were all assured by top people that no illegals had access to Medicaid to begin with. It was all vicious Republican lies and bigotry.

Then Hakeem's arm came out of the top hat, and everyone who'd been subjected to Fauxcahontus tears and his blustering just said, 'AGAIN?!'

Jeffries wound up with a donkey's butt piñata in his hand.

Thanks to the Chicago Tribune stepping on the message this past weekend, we now have proof that not only did California have an obvious workaround for illegals to have healthcare provided by federal Medicaid dollars, but two other states, as well.

One of them is Illinois, which is pretty freakin' weird, considering the state's porcine governor said there were no illegals anywhere near Medicaid in *checks notes* Illinois.

'...They don’t get Medicaid in Illinois. Or any state, as far as I know...'

How is it proof? Well, three states formerly in denial, including California and Illinois, are modifying their programs in some fashion because the dollars spent are ballooning out of control, while the federal reimbursements are fixin' to shrink. To top that off, there are other states mentioned who have some serious thinking to do.

And God-dang. What does that headline say exactly?

EXACTLY

Illinois among Democrat-led states rolling back Medicaid access for people lacking permanent legal status

...“It changed immensely, like from Earth to the heavens,” Maria said in Spanish of Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid program. “Having the peace of mind of getting insurance leads me to getting sick less.”

At least seven states and the District of Columbia have offered coverage for immigrants since mostly 2020. But three of them have done an about-face, ending or limiting coverage for hundreds of thousands of immigrants who aren’t in the U.S. legally in California, Illinois and Minnesota.

The programs cost way more than officials had projected at a time when the states are facing multibillion-dollar deficits now and in the future. In Illinois, adult immigrants ages 42-64 without legal status have lost their health care to save an estimated $404 million. All adult immigrants in Minnesota no longer have access to the state program, saving nearly $57 million. In California, no one will automatically lose coverage, but new enrollments for adults will stop in 2026 to save more than $3 billion over several years.

Cuts in all three states were backed by Democratic governors who once championed expanding health coverage to immigrants.

That's very peculiar, isn't it, for something we were told just wasn't a thing.

And states that still insist on providing illegals with healthcare that their own citizens can't afford will find themselves with even less money to provide for those same Americans.

...States are also bracing for impact from federal policies. Cuts to Medicaid and other programs in the recently signed massive tax and spending bill include a 10% cut to the federal share of Medicaid expansion costs to states that offer health benefits to immigrants starting October 2027.

California health officials estimate roughly 200,000 people will lose coverage after the first full year of restricted enrollment, though Gov. Gavin Newsom maintains that even with the rollbacks, California provides the most expansive health care coverage for poor adults.

Sadly, you know who they'll pick.

They can't even keep their stories straight as they try to gaslight the public.

'...It's undocumented immigrants that have been here for twenty years...'

Wait, whut?

If you question any of it, you're a 'spoon feeder of bile.'

Lucky thing I don't have to worry about bilious spoon feeding now that they've admitted it, but honestly - I could live with it.

Has kind of a ring to it, no?

It's nice to be right.
