Well, well, well.
What have we here?
The election was on the first of June and has already been certified. The winning candidate from the Conservative Party PiS), Karol Nawrocki, has received his official congratulations for being the victor.
Of course, all the poo-head European Union backing losers associated with Prime Minister Donald Tusk boycotted all of the official ceremonies, a la Michelle Obama.
It's hard to understate how very disappointed the EU cadre was in Nawrocki's win. They were completely invested in Trzaskowski's vanquishing their last stumbling block to a Poland fully integrated with all things EU, besides needing the boost that beating back a nationalist candidate would have given them in troublesome Eastern Europe.
Wow-globalists are getting their asses kicked. Pride in country and individualism are on their way back. Trump and Elon have shown the way. The Biden era showed the dangers of being run by shadow figures. Time for a lot of perp walks now.

...The Polish runoff came just two weeks after voters in Romania rejected a nationalist candidate in a presidential election, a result that raised the hopes of Polish liberals that Europe’s right-wing populist wave was receding.
What to do, what to do, when it looks as if things haven't gone your way?
The campaign committee of Rafał Trzaskowski, the Polish presidential candidate of the ruling Civic Coalition, has petitioned the Polish Supreme Court for a full recount of votes cast in the ballot. https://t.co/E8cnrRIYfK

Losing government candidate in Polish election demands full recount
The campaign committee of Rafał Trzaskowski, the Polish presidential candidate of the ruling Civic Coalition (KO) party, has petitioned the Polish Supreme Court for a full recount of votes cast in the ballot.
The election was won by on June 1 by the opposition candidate, Karol Nawrocki from the Conservatives (PiS), with 370,000 more votes than Trzaskowski (50.9 per cent to 49.1 per cent) on a turnout of almost 72 per cent.
Poland’s election regulator (PKW) had certified the result and on June 11 held a ceremony of confirming Nawrocki as the victor. That was boycotted by all of the government’s politicians except defence minister and leader of the Polish People’s Party (PSL) Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Observers familiar with the way democracy works in Europe are skeptical of pure intentions.
Keen observers will note that the previous PiS government, which was falsely accused by the EU and its acolytes of authoritarianism and democratic backsliding, handed over power without protest in 2023, while the self-proclaimed “democratic camp” use lawfare to stymie voters.

There's quite a complicated scenario that goes into calling for the recount.
Dirty tricks: In Poland, the self-proclaimed “democratic camp” protests the results of the Presidential Election (which they lost).

The intention is to undermine public faith in the democratic process and Nawrocki’s mandate with vexatious allegations.https://t.co/FwQPDHRFVe
I'm sure the translation makes it even more difficult to keep it all straight, so I'll only quote the bare basics of who claims what.
Cezary Tomczyk announced on social media that after analyzing 31,627 district electoral commissions throughout Poland, he decided to file an election protest. Rafał Trzaskowski's committee made the same decision. The appropriate motion is to be filed with the Supreme Court on Monday.
...Last week, unverified reports began to appear online, eagerly repeated by supporters of KO and Rafał Trzaskowski, that during the second round of the presidential election there was massive falsification of results. This is supposed to be the basis for numerous election protests and then a recount of votes. The main propagator of this theory is Roman Giertych.
The KO MP's activity in this matter was met with negative assessments from both right-wing and left-wing politicians. The Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, also expressed his opinion, stating that at the moment "there is no reason to question the election results".
But the election protests being levied have skyrocketed, and they all have to go to the country's Supreme Court for adjudication.
Liczba protestów wyborczych wystrzeliła - z 250 w piątek do niemal 5 tysięcy dziś.

...The number of election protests has skyrocketed - from 250 on Friday to almost 5 thousand today. At the last minute, Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign also raised its objections.
The main initiator of the whole movement is Roman Giertych, who has been saying outright for weeks: the elections could have been rigged. The National Electoral Commission recognized the elections as valid, although it admitted that there were irregularities. Will the Supreme Court invalidate the results?
This Roman Giertych fellow is a newer member Tusk's party for Parliament. He has a colorful past, having been investigated for money laundering, not to mention he's represented Tusk during some sort of inquiry into Polish services cooperating with the Russians, among other things.
So, yeah. Partisan and feisty, and certainly clever enough to flood the zone.
...Giertych alleged that vote counts were falsified, some polling stations were improperly staffed, and an unauthorised digital tool was used to block legitimate voters.
His challenge comes amid broader claims of errors in election reports and votes being incorrectly assigned to candidates.
They dropped off fifteen bags of complaints at the Polish Supreme Court yesterday, and that body has already ordered a recount at a baker's dozen worth of polling stations.
The protests, delievered on Monday in 15 large bags by the national postal service, come as the court faces a 2 July deadline to rule on the validity of the election.
Presidential contender Rafał Trzaskowski’s election committee is also expected to file a formal challenge. The protest can be submitted in person at the court between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or via Polish Post, as outlined by electoral regulations.
The National Electoral Commission is in receipt of a petition signed by some 300K people, which says they're duty-bound to call for a recount due to the 'narrowness' of the vote.
... At noon, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) is scheduled to meet to formally adopt its report on the conduct and organization of the election - a mandatory step that must be completed by the end of Monday.
As always, while the losing Trzaskowski side claims it is only trying to 'save democracy,' cooler-headed observers with some knowledge of previous Polish elections question why no one had thought it important enough to save democracy in any of the previous elections.
...Tomczyk claimed that if it was assumed that “seven votes in each of the polling stations [32,000 such stations-ed.] were misattributed in this way from Trzaskowski to Nawrocki, the latter’s majority [370,000 -ed.] disappears, adding that the only way to avoid such suspicions was via a recount”.
Trzaskowski’s aide justified his claims arguing that “we are not undermining democracy but trying to save it. All we want is a recount”.
There have been more than 400 protests filed so far with the Supreme Court with the deadline for such petitions passing on June 16. The court then has until July 2 to validate the final result of the election.
After the presidential election in 2020, there were more than 5,000 protests alleging irregularities, none of which led the courts to order any recounts or invalidate results.
The Poles have been watching what's happened to the populist winners across Europe this year, and they have no doubt what's coming.
There's been enough 'saving democracy' going on across the continent to have them very worried about being 'saved' from themselves.
