ZOMG TRUMP HAS THE MILITARY DRAGGING COAST GUARD WIVES OUT OF HOMES
I mean they are fanning these flames - and by extension, trying to rile up all the bile among the military that they can.

Right there on base!
How could they be so heartless?
The wife of an active-duty Coast Guardsman was arrested earlier this week by federal immigration authorities inside the family residential section of the U.S. Naval Air Station at Key West, Florida, after she was flagged in a routine security check, officials said Saturday.
“The spouse is not a member of the Coast Guard and was detained by Homeland Security Investigations pursuant to a lawful removal order,” said Coast Guard spokesperson Lt. Cmdr. Steve Roth in a statement confirming Thursday’s on-base arrest. “The Coast Guard works closely with HSI and others to enforce federal laws, including on immigration.”
...Though the Trump administration has made immigration arrests a top priority for federal law enforcement, it did not immediately appear the on-base arrest of the military spouse was part of a broader sweep.
The official said that when the woman and her Coast Guard husband were preparing to move into their on-base housing on Wednesday, they went to the visitor control center to get a pass so she could access the Key West installation. During the routine security screening required for base access, the woman’s name was flagged as a problem.
How and why did this military spouse's name get flagged 'as a problem'?
It's not surprising that outlets with an agenda are being less than specific in their inflammatory headlines about exactly what happened particularly with the current emphasis on fomenting discontent with the administration at every level and opportunity.
It turns out to have a perfectly rational explanation, especially considering that this woman and her NEW husband of only five months were at the housing office so she could get 24/7 unhindered access to what was going to be her new home - a federal installation.
Think they might have some stricter sort of security protocols than if you were renting an apartment in town and they were only doing a credit check?
Well, yeah, right?
So, it turns out the newlywed was a foreign national (they haven't identified the country yet) who overstayed her visa eight years ago, back in 2017.
Oh. Hello.
Not only that, but thanks again to her own actions, she had been flagged for deportation due to her overstay a few years after that. That was the 'lawful removal order' in the system mentioned by the US Coast Guard spokesman.
Trump had nothing to do with any of those routine actions.
Naturally, when her information was run through the federal security programs on base for clearance to live on base, her name popped up as a 'hold.'
...According to a U.S. official, the woman's work visa expired around 2017, and she was marked for removal from the United States a few years later. She and the Coast Guardsman were married early this year, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an enforcement incident.
...Base personnel contacted the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which looked into the matter, said the official. NCIS and Coast Guard security personnel got permission from the base commander to enter the installation and then went to the Coast Guardsman's home on Thursday, the official said. They were joined by personnel from Homeland Security Investigations, a unit within Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
HSI eventually took the spouse into custody, and the official said they believe she is still being detained. Officials did not provide the name of the country she is from.
The Coast Guard referred questions about the woman’s identity, immigration status and charges to ICE, which did not respond to a request for comment on Saturday. The Department of Homeland Security also did not respond to a request for comment.
This is not Donald Trump or Tom Homan's fault.
This is entirely her fault.
I'm curious if she even told her new husband she had a slight problem with her status in the country, because I can't believe he'd be so stupid as to waltz into a federal office without paperwork of some kind for her, just in case something, 'a problem,' popped up.
Like a 'lawful removal order' that had been hanging around in the federal database for years.
I'm sorry - my sympathy meter is pegged here, however much the media and TDS sufferers try to pin the blame on Immigration and the administration.
There is a distinct lack of empathy in comments as well, once all the facts about the situation are known.
My wife has her green card. It's been 2 years since she got it. Next year she will get her citizenship. Life ain't that hard. It's hard when you're a God damn moron.

Truth be told, one soldier and his wife were in a similar boat years ago and went through hell to correct the situation to be together.
Biden had made it easier for military spouses who had overstayed visas to get it squared away, but I'm not sure where the process stands right now. Usually, you also have to make the effort to remediate the situation before they flag you to show good faith.
The point of the matter is, this woman has had eight years - eight years - to get her act together, didn't, got married to this Coastie a few short months ago knowing full well she was in an illegal status, and somehow she's the victim?
Ah...no.
If there's an outrage and pity party that needs to be thrown, I'd definitely save it for a more deserving recipient.
