You thought Democrats, with their ridiculous screeching about 'Big Balls' and ELON! BILLIONAIRE! ELON!, storming the Dept of Education, illegals and eggs, etc. was over the top ridiculous?
This is quite a bold stand some are beginning to take.
Makes as much sense as David Hogg for a party vice-chair.
So, of course, I FULLY ENDORSE IT.
You go, guys!
Wait, Dems are going to punish Trump and Elon for shrinking government by... shutting it down? https://t.co/nvlrmSrPFg

An Oregon Senator with a severe case of TDS named Jeff Merkley has a big mad about what he sees as Trump's efforts to 'throw federal workers out of their jobs,' etc. - going so far as to call the DOGE team 'Musk rats' and implies their every move is illegal and/or unconstitutional.
It's the usual devastating, articulate progressive attack.
Musk and his Musk rats are scheming with Russ Vought to gut the agency that protects the money in YOUR wallet from the scammers.
— Senator Jeff Merkley (@SenJeffMerkley) February 8, 2025
It's another Trump attack on families. Totally wrong.
Particularly when he joins with another progressive buffoon larping as a pseudo-intellectual, and between the two of them - kind of like a Pinky and the Brain episode - they hatch a plan to re-take the Trump federal world.
Merkley's co-conspirator in trying to force a pause in the thundering Trump realignment and reimaging is none other than *checks notes* a senator nobody had ever heard of from New Jersey by the name of Andy Kim.
Why on earth would Andy Kim want to disrupt all the wonderful clean-up work being done, all the grift being uncovered, and, most importantly, all the taxpayer dollars being saved?
Well, for starters, he is a foaming-at-the-mouth lunatic progressive who once ran his own 'Hate on the Bad Orange Man' website.
He might also have a big hurt at the moment, as he's a former USAID employee, too.
So, in their best, vengeful with a heaping side of incomprehensible progressive style, these two have started the shut-it-all-down ball rolling regarding the upcoming 14 March budget deadline.
Senator Andy Kim indicated he is open to shutting down the federal government to oppose policies enacted by the Trump administration and Elon Musk, who is overseeing government cost-cutting efforts.
Kim, a former US AID employee himself, operated a far-left anti-Trump disruption organization called “Rise Stronger” prior to be elected to Congress. The mission of Rise Stronger was to disrupt and oppose the first Trump presidency.
Kim quickly removed the website when his then-opponent, Congressman Tom MacArthur, began publicizing Kim’s ownership of the far-left radical group that promoted communist teachings and marxist philosophies.
...“You have to look at what the Trump administration is doing right now. They are simply trying to dismantle the government,” Kim said. “If we have to take steps to be able to hold them accountable, we use the leverage that we have.”
Pressed further on whether he would vote to shut down the government, Kim deflected, instead pointing to Republican leadership. “This is on them. This is about whether or not they can get the votes. They are the majority,” he said.
Kim, a former national security official, said he has worked through past government shutdowns and does not take the possibility lightly. However, he argued that Trump administration actions amount to a “constitutional crisis” and must be confronted.
ARGLE-BARGLE-BARGLE
Marxist? Check
Former USAID? Check
Former national security official? Check
He certainly ticks all the right boxes to be the front man for this bassackward effort by the brilliant strategists on the Democratic side of Congress to force Donald Trump to stop cleaning house.
Kim was busy hitting the airways spreading the gospel of 'constitutional crisis' as a president does what he promised to do, and Democrats are powerless to stop him.

Dutifully, as soon as one brave sacrificial lamb dangles his toe in the public waters and all the other meek sheep see he survives, they all come out of the woodwork to proclaim they, too, are Spartacus.
As Democrats look ahead to a potential funding battle with Republicans, @CoryBooker tells @DanaBashCNN, "They are going to need us" to avoid a government shutdown on March 14. pic.twitter.com/CfPyWG8jkp

Republicans can't keep finding all this waste, fraud, and abuse and ensuring government workers are accountable for the pay they receive!
THAT NONSENSE HAS TO STOP
More bold noises emerge from the Democratic side of the House as leaders there begin to count Spartacus heads while thinking, 'Man, what a great idea.'
House Democrats are signaling a government shutdown in March to protest DOGE.

"They will need Democratic votes to pass this budget, and fundamentally we're not going to vote for something that undermines the American people." pic.twitter.com/DQihP50lT6
WE'RE SO DOIN' THIS, YO
The temper tantrum escalates as more Dems in both houses get braver the bigger the number becomes.
Dems are just, you know, in no mood. They are...what was that word Schumer used so offensively?
Oh, yes - AROUSED - by Trump's aggressiveness.
Someone is gonna need a cigarette and a cocktail after this.
Democrats held the Senate floor through the night this week in a painstaking but ultimately futile protest against President Donald Trump’s budget chief.
They’re about to get some real leverage.
Elon Musk’s dramatic reshaping of government, combined with Trump’s torrent of executive actions and a confusing federal spending freeze, have cast serious doubt on the prospects for Congress to fund the government past March 14, according to interviews with a half-dozen senior Democratic senators and several worried Republicans.
Republicans will need Democratic votes in the Senate and the House to avoid a government shutdown and a debt default later this year, given the GOP’s narrow majorities in both chambers. Democrats say they see little rationale now to try to compromise with Republicans who have shown little interest in stopping Trump’s aggressive use of executive power.
...And Democrats say they are in no mood to deal.
“This president is in this big power grab, saying that he can decide what to spend or not spend on anything. It kinda reduces your motivation to negotiate on stuff,” said Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn.
I think the only calculation that hasn't occurred to Democrats is if this makes any sense and how it will play to the American people who basically hired Trump to do exactly what he's doing and, according to recent polling, are pretty damn happy with him and his team's results across the board with the results in so short a span.
Trump has given Americans the transparency they've been demanding, immediate results they never thought they'd see, exposed stunning amounts of graft and corruption in a few short weeks, locked the border down, and started shipping illegals out...for starters.
Quick recap of the first 3 weeks of the 2nd Trump admin:
— Tony Kinnett (@TheTonus) February 10, 2025
1. Trump is fulfilling campaign promises in bulk.
2. DOGE is exposing long-suspected gov't corruption en masse.
3. The left's official response: Double down.
4. Trump continues to rise in polls
5. Senate Dems & media drive… pic.twitter.com/6miBIGuiHu
...5. Senate Dems & media drive their party straight intoto the pits of Hell.
Meanwhile, Democrats have elected this...

...and now they're planning on shutting the government down while framing it as 'Are the Republicans going to shut down the government?'
Congresswoman Luisa DeLauro (CT) says her Democrat colleagues in the House & Senate are ready to shut down the government if assurances aren't given about increasing spending at various agencies.

Seems like a weird hill to die on, but Democrats seem ready to do so 🤣 pic.twitter.com/lTAfZZGEjQ
Personally, I don't see this game of chicken going the way it used to. It doesn't help them that they've all squawked too loudly for too long for the exact opposite thing. So much so, that the noise has little meaning.
It’s (D)ifferent when they (D)o it. Lol

More offensive to American voters is that Democrats would shut the government down solely over nothing more than tantrums that they are losing the financial power they had, and this is the only avenue left for them to throw a fit.
As American treasure VDH says in his column today, why are they so intent on suicide?
...He [Musk] and his young team of tech standouts have exposed shocking waste and fraud, but mostly insanity, in the USAID’s $50 billion of foreign aid grants.
...Do Democrats really think the middle class will hate Elon Musk for exposing that their government may well have handed the communist Chinese the necessary cash to birth a manufactured killer virus that took one million American lives?
Is that a winning strategy—to scream in Congress that Musk is a Nazi, a dictator for showing that Biden’s USAID under leftist Samantha Power was a clearing house to enrich and empower well-off leftist organizations that only weakened their own country abroad?
...What the Democrats don’t realize is that they staged a French-style cultural, political, and economic revolution and tried to destroy their enemies by weaponizing government and the media—and they have now lost.
This current counter-revolution is a return to centrist normalcy and just beginning. It is deemed wild only by feral Democrats, whose high crimes and misdemeanors, and various conspiracy theories over the years of their madcap rule are now being revealed every day.
I don't see it working out for them.
But I endorse their right to do it one-hunnert-percent.
You go, guys.
The wilderness needs its loons.
