Wow.

This is turning into something else, this place - this 'England.'

There's a memorial in Manchester known as The Glade of Light.

The terror attack victims it commemorates are the innocents who attended an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester arena on the 22nd of May 2017. The big event had just finished, and happy concertgoers of all ages were beginning to stream out when a 22-year-old suicide bomber detonated himself in the crowd.

The carnage was unthinkable.

...Twenty-two people — the youngest aged eight — died and more than 200 were injured when a man detonated a homemade bomb at Manchester Arena in northern England as parents arrived to collect children following the American singer’s show.

Once again, the perpetrator had been, as we always say, one of the usual suspects and 'on their radar.' Delightful boysthe lot of them.

...The bomber, Salman Abedi, 22, had been known to the security agency since 2014, had visited an influential jailed militant in prison, and should have been referred to a de-radicalisation programme, Saunders said.

Abedi’s younger brother Hashem was jailed for 55 years in 2020 for encouraging and helping him while a third, older brother, Ismail, was in July convicted in his absence of failing to attend the inquiry to give evidence, having fled Britain.

The brothers were born to Libyan parents who emigrated to Britain during the rule of Moammar Gadhafi.

Last Wednesday night, as John told us, a well-known Swedish anti-Islamic activist, whose protests included the occasional Koran burning, was murdered in Stockholm.

An anti-Islam activist was murdered in Sweden Wednesday night, apparently while he was live-streaming on TikTok from his home. Salwan Momika became an infamous figure in the Muslim world when he held public anti-Islam protests in 2023 which included the burning of a Koran on more than one occasion. There was a bounty on his head and last night he was murdered. A group of men have been arrested.

A spokesperson for Sweden’s prosecutor’s office confirmed to CNN that Momika was shot dead in capital city Stockholm on Wednesday.

Stockholm police told CNN that five people had been arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of murder.

Momika had initially been allowed under Swedish 'freedom of speech' tenets to gain a permit for his flaming protest. However, after the usual suspects lost their ever-loving cookies, the Swedes cravenly backed down and went after Momika and his partner in protest.

...After allowing the protest, Sweden reversed course and prosecuted Momika and Salwan Najem, who joined him for several protests, of incitement to racial hatred. Momika and Najem were supposed to hear the verdict in the case against them today. Najem has since posted a link to a story about the murder on X with caption "I am next."

For his part, Mr Najem was convicted of hate crimes in Sweden today, even though the court says there's technically no protection for the Koran against such things.

Salwan Najem, an Islam-critic whose fellow Quran-burning activist Salwan Momika was shot dead on January 29 in Stockholm, has been convicted of incitement against an ethnic group.

According to the Stockholm district court on February 3, Najem “expressed contempt for the Muslim ethnic group” and “exceeded free-speech protections by a wide margin”.

This went beyond a fair debate and critique of religion, the court found.

It did, though, also note that burning the Quran might not always be regarded as a hate crime and that it did not have any extra protection just because it was a sacred text for Muslims.

...“At the same time, expressing one’s opinion about religion does not give one a free pass to do or say anything and everything without risking offending the group that holds that belief.

If you can figure ANY of that shameful argle-bargle out, you're doing better than I am. All it says to me is that the Swedes won't stand for anyone riling the usual suspects up, rights of citizens be damned.

Back in Manchester, England, to a man named Martin Frost, whose daughter had also reportedly been recently killed in the Israeli-Hamas conflict, this was all too much to bear.

He announced what he planned to do and where on his social media and that it would be live-streamed.

On Saturday, the first of February, he walked to The Glade of Light and began ripping pages out of a Koran in front of a small crowd of supporters. Frost proceeded to light them off.

...Martin Frost, 47, was filmed holding a flag of Israel before tearing out pages of the Islamic holy book and setting fire to it in Manchester on Saturday (February 1), a court heard. He had publicised the event online beforehand, and it was streamed on social media, Manchester Magistrates’ Court was told.

...Robin Lynch, prosecuting, told the court a crowd of supporters gathered near the Glade of Light memorial to the 22 murdered in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, last Saturday afternoon when Frost began tearing out pages of the Quran.

Mr Lynch said a passer-by tried to intervene, but Frost then shouted: “This is what I think of your Quran. Islam has no place in civil society.

The prosecutor continued: “Then he ripped out pages and said these pages talk about paedophilia and sets that page alight.” Frost then threw the book in the river nearby and was arrested when police arrived.

The defendant told officers he was demonstrating solidarity with another anti-Islam activist in Sweden, who was recently murdered after burning a Quran.

Manchester Police went boldly into the fray, arresting the unresisting and completely compliant Frost...

...and then did some social media chest-thumping about what a dangerous, heinous character they'd managed to nab so swiftly. Thanks to the deadly serious nature of the crimes - 'causing racially and religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm, distress' -  public enemy and arch-criminal Martin Frost would be remaining in their custody.

They also put his birthdate out in case any angry usual suspect-types wanted to take a shot at the Koran burning "Martin Frost." The birthdate might help ensure they killed or maimed the correct one.

Can't be too cautious with the public's safety, you know.

Great police work covers all the bases thoroughly, and Manchester police are quite proud of themselves for the way they've handled this potentially deadly threat to society.

They are making appropriate soothing noises to keep the ruffled feathers of 'the community' from exploding into something they'd prefer not to have to handle. It's much easier to arrest the pasty-faced white guy.

...After the incident, Assistant Chief Constable Stephanie Parker of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “We understand the deep concern this will cause within some of our diverse communities and are aware of a live video circulating.

We made a swift arrest at the time and recognise the right people have for freedom of expression, but when this crosses into intimidation to cause harm or distress we will always look to take action when it is reported to us.”

Authorities want further information if anyone has developed more hurt feelings they need to get off their chests, anonymously if necessary. Can't be too cautious with people's safety, you know.

...‘He remains in custody currently for questioning. Anyone with further information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 3713 of 31/01/2025.’

The entire affair is not going over well with 'British' citizens who are accusing the Manchester cops - who have also conveniently disabled comments on the Xweet - of setting Frost up so someone else can rid them of their troublesome pyro.

Surely, they exaggerate.

But when you hear the heart-rending testimony contained in the witness victim impact statement, well. Golly. It's no wonder the judge was so tough, chastising Frost for his abhorrent and uncivilized behavior.

...A victim impact statement from the person who tried to intervene, said: “I was quite shocked, disgusted and offended. I’m a Muslim. I still can’t believe someone would do this. When he began to burn the Quran my heart was about to break out. This is the most emotion I have ever felt.”

...She told Frost she was sorry for the loss of his daughter, but added: “The Quran is a sacred book to Muslims and treating it as you did is going to cause extreme distress. This is a tolerant country, but we just do not tolerate this behaviour.”

She let him go.

Which is the tricky part, now that everyone knows who he is and where he lives. He could easily pay with his life for something - the page burning - that's not a crime...

...but the hurt feelings part that is.

It all depends on whose book is held holier where you live.

Two Tier Keir Starmer's 'United' Kingdom has made pretty clear what book that is.
