WEF/Davos presents the glass bubble where you and the bugs you eat will live in the future prepared for you

The well-heeled and well-connected have certainly been busy in Switzerland this week, and I’m not just talking about escort services. There have been all sorts of plans and big ideas floated to their fellow attendees. All in a concentrated effort to further their collective vision of the future as they see it and refine how they’d like to manipulate it to fit within the parameters they’ve chosen.

Lucky us.

One of the moments that caught people by surprise and got them squawking in horror wasn’t Rebel News ambushing the Pfizer head or Al Gore’s embarrassing demented rant – everyone’s used to his bloviating brand of lunacy (Although why he still gets invited to these things escapes me.).

No, the event that set people back a tad was the presentation of a little video about the City of the Future. And how truly dreadful it looks.

I watched it and started feeling claustrophobic almost immediately. At the same time, all I could think of was that the designers have seen one too many movies like “Blade Runner” or “5th Element.” It’s as if they copied the dystopian, multi-layer vertical city sets and ran with it.

I’m pretty dang sure that’s NOT any wonderful way to build a future (What do they think the point of the movies is, hello?), but, in the WEF’s defense, they aren’t the ones doing this…yet. The video wasn’t their production. It belongs to Saudi Arabia and is a very real, hugely expensive ($500B), massive-in-scale project the Saudis have already under construction, parts of which are scheduled to open in 2 years.

Saudi Arabia’s futuristic NEOM could revolutionize the way people look at cities and urban planning, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir said on Thursday in Davos.

The planned smart city will span 26,500-square-km and is set to run on 100 percent renewable energy and be car free.

It’s a transformational project, it is something the world has not seen. It will radicalize and revolutionize the way people look at cities and look at urban planning,” Jubeir said during a panel at the World Economic Forum.

The NEOM development will include TREOJENA skiing destination, luxury island Sindalah, thousands of hectares for agricultural land, and linear city the LINE within the area. OXAGON, a futuristic industrial city will also be part of the plans and could be the largest floating industrial complex in the world.

Sounds just like “home, schweet home” doesn’t it?

YOICKS

The four sections that make up this megalopolis – of which some 20% of the infrastructure is completed, according to the Saudi government – are described in this article. The screencap below is a rendering of what the “city” itself is projected to look like.

If you had a chance to read my post the other day, on Scotland’s forced transition to renewables/walkable urban planning, you’ll recognize some of the Greenish code-words salted all through this NEOM project. Scotland, just days after I wrote that, is once again denying uncomfortable truths about their transition to their brave Green world – it ain’t near what it’s cracked up to be/being sold as.

“Then a miracle occurs…”
Scotland’s “Energy Strategy and Just Transition plan” is a disaster in the making.

…In 2022, due to an insufficient quantity of wind and sun, Scotland’s current collection of wind and solar energy scavenging devices failed to generate about 70% of their nameplate capacity. Recent exhaustive statistical and econometric analysis of wind generation in Scotland by Edinburgh University shows that it is uneconomic, and destined for taxpayer bailout. Under the Scottish Government’s novel energy strategy, wind and solar energy scavenging devices are to be greatly expanded.

Hydrogen, an energy carrier that squanders in waste heat a gigawatt of power generation for every gigawatt it carries, is elevated in the Scottish Government’s understanding of energy to the category of a fuel, and also greatly expanded.

Not all revolutions are equal, and these revolutions in “urban planning/living” are doing nothing for me, nor any of the people commenting on any of the threads where the video played. It is, however, really appealing to the cold-hearted titans of industry and finance gathered in Davos. Being able to gather and restrict all the world’s peons along with controlling the resources to keep them fed, herd-healthy, and as productive as the collective needs is the aim after all, is it not? Hard to maintain the lifestyles of their overseers otherwise.

The reason this NEOM project received such a prominent forum at the WEF is that those Davos guys think it’s great. They are thrilled someone is already on it in a big way.

If that sounds like I’m tipping over into conspiracy tinfoil, three years ago, I might have agreed with you. “Oh, surely not, you quack!” But then along came COVID, jackboots, jabs, Biden, and now?

A formerly semi-mushy, semi-rational leader of a once-free country felt perfectly comfortable saying THIS in public yesterday:

No, dammit.

Again, they might have been mostly for entertainment purposes, but there are definitely parallels to be made from the few movies I’ve mentioned…

Have any of you ever read “This Perfect Day” by Ira Levin? Written 53 years ago, but Tony Blair and the Davos gang must be using it as a primer.

…The story is set in a seemingly perfect global society. Uniformity is the defining feature; there is only one language and all ethnic groups have been eugenically merged into one race called “The Family.”

The world is ruled by a central computer called UniComp that has been programmed to keep every single human on the surface of the earth in check. People are continually drugged by means of regular injections so that they can never realize their potential as human beings, but will remain satisfied and cooperative. They are told where to live, when to eat, whom to marry, when to reproduce. Even the basic facts of nature are subject to UniComp’s will – men do not grow facial hair, women do not develop breasts, and it only rains at night.

I refuse to live in that world or eat their bugs or have my jabs mandated and electronically tracked.

I read the book and saw the movies, but never in my wildest nightmares did I think I’d see the day.

I’ll fight it tooth and nail.

WEF types also know many of us are reacting exactly like that, which is why the Davos guys want OUR information portals closed down. Bankrupted and shuttered. The loathsome blackguards are equally as comfortable as Blair when chit-chatting in public about those intentions.

Warms the cockles of your freedom-loving heart, doesn’t it?

And it’s all in our own best interest, you know.
