Breaking this evening, some news about the Tsarnaev family:

A sister of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was arrested in New York Wednesday after allegedly threatening a woman in a domestic harassment case, saying, “I have people that can go over there and put a bomb on you.”

Ailana Tsarnaev, of North Berger, New Jersey, was arrested at a police station in New York City Wednesday afternoon, charged with one count of aggravated harassment. She was released with a summons to return to a criminal court in Manhattan on Sept. 3, according to police Lt. John Grimpel.

Grimpel said the victim of Ailana Tsarnaev’s alleged threat has a child with the father of one of Tsarnaev’s children. Grimpel did not elaborate on the nature of the dispute.

Sounds like a love triangle of some kind.

Given that most of the news about your family is bomb-related, perhaps keep it low-key on the bomb-related threats? Literally any other threat would be less actionable. Aliana is the sister of the Tsarnaevs whom you may remember, in the wake of the Boston bombing, lived in West New York, N.J, and had her computer confiscated, though nothing seemed to come of that. Aliana has reportedly been in trouble with the law for other reasons the past couple years, stemming from counterfeiting charges related to a rather small Applebee’s transaction.

Interestingly, reporting at the time suggested Aliana was married to a non-Muslim man, rejected by her brothers, whereas her brother Tamerlan was married to an American, Christian woman who had converted to Islam, Katherine Russell. The widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev is now reportedly living with Aliana and another Tsarnaev sister, with her own, young child:

The widow of one of the Boston bombers has remarried and has a baby with her new husband, one of her relatives has claimed in a report.

Katherine Russell, 25, was married to Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older of the two brothers suspected of detonating two bombs at the Boston Marathon last year. He was later killed in a shootout with police.

Now, little more than a year since his death, it has been claimed that she left her parents’ home in Rhode Island and traveled 100 miles to New Jersey to be with Tsarnaev’s sisters, Bella and Aliana.

At the weekend, she was seen leaving the home with a baby in her arms – and Aliana, speaking to the New York Post, claimed that the child was Russell’s.
