It won’t be easy or quick. but make no mistake we will prevail….So ask yourself, do you think Donald Trump has the temperament to be commander-in-chief? Donald Trump can’t even handle the rough-and-tumble of a presidential campaign. He loses his cool at the slightest provocation…

“A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons.”

11:14pm Clinton: “Keeping our nation safe and honoring the people who do that work will be my top priority.”

11:08pm Clinton: “It’s just not right that Donald Trump can ignore his debts, and students and families can’t refinance their debts.”

11:02pm Clinton: “I believe our economy isn’t working the way it should because our democracy isn’t working the way it should. That’s why we need to appoint Supreme Court justices who will get money out of politics and expand voting rights…And if necessary we will pass a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.”

10:58pm Clinton: “I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans, independents, for the struggling, the striving, the successful, for all those who vote for me and those who don’t, for all Americans together….After all, when there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit.”

10:54pm Clinton admits “after all these years of public service, the service part comes easier than the public part.” And she runs through her mother’s life as a child abandoned at 14 and then her career of service to children. “So, it’s true I sweat the details of policies…because it’s not just a detail if it’s your kid, your family. It’s a big deal. And it should be a big deal to your president too.”

10:48pm Clinton runs through her standard campaign speech–an economy for everyone, good schools for everyone, safety for everyone, prosperity not just for that darned one percent but for everyone.

10:44pm Clinton: “Don’t let anyone tell you our country is weak. We’re not. Don’t let anyone tell you we dont have what it takes. We do. And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says, ‘I alone can fix it.'”

10:40pm  “We will not build a wall. We’ll build an economy where everyone who wants a good job can get one. And we’ll build a path to citizenship for millions of immigrants who already contributing to our economy.”

10:38pm Clinton: “Our founders recognized that we are stronger together. Now, America is once again at a moment of reckoning. Powerful forces are threatening to pull us apart. Bonds of trust and respect are fraying. And just as with our Founders, there are no guarantees. We must decide whether we will all work together so we can all thrive together.”

10:32pm Clinton: “Bill, that conversation we started in the law library 45 years ago is still going strong.”

10:28pm Hillary Clinton enters. Long hugs with Chelsea. Long waves at the crowd. Pointing to someone. Over and over. Three minutes of cheers.

10:14pm Chelsea: “I’m voting for a fighter who never ever gives up. And who believes that we can always do better when we come together and work together.”

10:12pm They’re passing out U.S. flags to the delegates.

10:04pm Chelsea Clinton reveals that her daughter Charlotte “loves Elmo. And blueberries. And face-time with Grandma Clinton…Every day I spend with Charlotte and Aidan’s mother I think about my own mother, my own thoughtful, hilarious mother.”

Every day her mother was away, which was not often, Chelsea says, she would leave dated notes for each day for her daughter to open. “They were another reminder I was always on your mind and in her heart….That feeling of being loved is what my Mom wants for every child….She also taught me that public service is about service.”

9:16pm Khizr Khan, father of Humayun Khan, Army captain slain in Afghanistan, tells his immigrant story and declares himself a patriotic American. With his silent wife by his side, in slow, pained sentences, he says of Trump: “If you had your way, my son would not even be here…You have sacrificed nothing….Have you ever been to Arlington National Cemetery?…

“In conclusion, I ask all patriotic Americans, all Muslim immigrants and all immigrants to not take this election lightly. This is a historic election and I request to honor the sacrifice of my son and on Election Day, take the time to get out and vote.”

9:06pm Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: “Hello, everyone. I’m Michael Jordan and I’m here with Hillary…I said that because I know that Donald Trump couldn’t tell the difference.”

8:34pm Ex-Gov. Jennifer Granholm gives an energetic speech in support of Clinton and denunciation of Trump in her public audition to become the next chair of the Democratic National Committee. “Our next president knows that a nation is a village, that we are one family. And that in a family no one gets left behind.”

Granholm does not explain then how under Secy. Hillary Clinton, so many Americans got left behind unprotected to die in Benghazi.

8:16pm Dave Wils, a North Carolina teacher, talks of his $40,000 in college loan debts and how his salary isn’t large and how he can’t save money for the future because he borrowed so much for college. He must make $300 loan payments each month.

“Life feels like we’re running on a treadmill. No matter how hard we try, we can’t get ahead….Hillary Clinton is going to make college debt-free for all.”

Dave doesn’t explain who will pay those tuition bills if a second President Clinton delivers on that talking point. But perhaps we can guess.

7:46pm Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “We come to this convention not to trumpet darkness but to fight a way forward for our country. A bright light forward. We are approaching a milestone in our nation’s history…Hillary Clinton has a vision rooted deeply in deeply-held values. She has a genuine strength that springs profoundly, contrasts profoundly from her opponent’s bluster. She has a gift for strategic thinking for knowing from her knowledge and experience.”

7:34pm Gov. Andrew Cuomo: “WE’VE RAISED THE MINIMUM WAGE TO $15 AN HOUR , THE HIGHEST IN THE NATION…WE ARE PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT BY BANNING FRACKING BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY PLANET WE HAVE. WE FOUGHT THE NRA AND WE WON…PROGRESSIVE GOVERNMENT WORKS AND WE’VE PROVED IT AND WITHOUT LEAVING ANYONE BEHIND.”

7:02pm For the fourth night, no speakers in Philadelphia realize they have a microphone. So, they YELL EVERY SYLLABLE OF EVERY WORD.

6:54pm Twelve female Democratic senators each individually, one by one, one after the other working two podiums tell their own favorite Hillary story. The words “fight” and “fighter” dominated the tales of dedication, courage and caring. And each woman, believe it or not, supported Clinton for the presidency.

6:46pm And, by the way, Americans have shown a distinct distaste for giving the same political party control of the White House for three consecutive terms. Since FDR’s four election wins, voters have done that only once, giving Republicans two Reagan terms and one from George H.W. Bush.

6:34pm For a party that’s been running the White House for the last 91 months, there sure seems to be an awful lot of talk about what’s wrong with the country, the fights that remain to be fought and all the changes that remain to be changed. Not a whole lot of accomplishment-touting (other than Obama’s 46-minute brag).

6:20pm Delegates see video clips hailing Hillary with children, hugging and speaking to mothers. “I wish,” Clinton says, pausing to look down at her notes for the rest of the sentence, “my mother could have met our granddaughter Charlotte.”

6:14pm P.S. Chelsea Clinton will introduce her Mom, drawing on her extremely well-paid intern experience at NBC. We’ll see how she does too.

6:08pm Yes, yes, we’re still here. It’s just that this last afternoon/evening of the DNC is squeezing in a whole bunch of nobody speakers when planners know few are watching. The big speaker tonight is Hillary Clinton, making the speech of her career to hit a home-run and kick a touchdown while reintroducing herself for the — what? — 48th time.

Maybe it’s a coincidence that these speakers are at best so-so. Whatever the reason, it sets the expectation bar low for Clinton, who is no Demosthena. She should have been practicing tonight’s remarks, to smooth out her robotic head turns from teleprompter to teleprompter. We’ll see.

5:44pm Dolores Huerta, United Farm Workers: “Donald Trump needs to get out of the way. And if he doesn’t, we need to get him out of the way.”

4:48pm Oh, look. We’re already at the fourth and final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. And the entire country is gripped with the suspense of Hillary Clinton’s decision. After only a generation of striving for her party’s presidential nomination, she has it. Will that be good enough? Will she accept?

Must Americans pay her and her family foundation huge sums of money to cajole into the Oval Office the country’s first female president who isn’t trusted by two-thirds of her countrymen?  How much will she charge per speech if elected?

Wednesday night, as we live-blogged here for your entertainment, we heard from Joe BFD Biden, the Democrats’ vice presidential nominee named Tom Kaine, according to Jesse Jackson. And from President Obama, who shared with us the many achievements of his reign of error, before finally endorsing Clinton as his anointed successor.

Obama ad-libbed an extra 600 words into his original 4,100-word text, much of which was devoted to hailing his administration’s many achievements. We went through his speech again, as we usually do the next day. And we found some revealing things, as we usually do. This was supposed to be Obama’s big oomph of handing the party leadership torch to his possible successor.

And it’s true. Obama did mention his one-time bitter party rival Hillary 31 times. Nothing about Benghazi or emails, pay-to-play, the phony video excuse, and the rest of that stuff.

However — and here’s the problem for any remaining Clinton fans including Big Bill — in his highly-touted Hillary endorsement speech the Democrat Narcissist-in-Chief mentioned himself 299 times.That’s seven times every minute, more than once every 10 seconds.

But enough about me, what did you think of my speech?

That’s perhaps predictable after 3,954,240 interminable minutes of Obama in the Oval Office. But pathetic nonetheless. Wonder if he’ll be as respectfully silent about his successor next year as George W. Bush has been about Obama, despite countless provocations.
