Packed cargo train of migrants heads to U.S. border

A FerroMex train in Mexico was spotted carrying hundreds of migrants toward the U.S. border. It’s full speed ahead.

Fox News Channel’s Bill Melugin reported over the weekend that the messaging used by the Biden administration on illegal immigration just isn’t working. Biden and DHS claim the southern border is closed to illegal immigrants but the truth is that the number of encounters are growing, not shrinking. The FerroMex train, a cargo train, came out of the Central Mexican city of Zacatecas. It is heading north in a 750-mile trip to the U.S. border. Container cars can be seen on video filled with migrants taking an easy ride.

These migrants will be added to the approximately 2M illegal migrants who have entered the United States this year, if they complete their journey and cross into the United States. The video shows that they are prepared for the trip on the train as they set up tents and canvas over portions of the containers to protect themselves from outside elements. In July, there were almost 184,000 illegal migrant crossings, up from 144,000 encounters in June. The numbers for August have not been reported yet but they are expected to be even higher than the July numbers. The August number will likely exceed 230,000. The trend is going the wrong way.

Migrants are coming from all over the world, not just Mexico and Central and South American countries. Most migrants are single adults – about 64.9 percent of them. However, family units are increasingly apprehended at the border. That number is almost 600,000 family units. There have been 109,298 unaccompanied minors who have crossed the border.

All across the southern border, the problem of overcapacity at shelters is happening again. Overcrowded shelters are releasing illegal aliens into the streets in Southern California, Arizona, and Texas.

Southwest border towns and federal processing centers are overcapacity as a crush of crossings cripples the nation.

Last week there were more than 7,000 illegal crossings across the U.S.-Mexico border on several days.

Photos depicted at least three white unmarked Border Patrol buses filled with migrants parked in San Diego.

They started releasing several hundreds of people onto the streets. One migrant was told by an agent: ‘You’re free to go on and do wherever you want. You’re free.’

He asked: ‘It’s no problem if I go to Chicago?’

‘You can do whatever you want,’ the official replied.

In San Diego, California the Border Patrol reports 20,000 illegal aliens in custody last week. That is 5,000 overcapacity. So, shelters there are releasing them. Tucson, Arizona Border Patrol agents are reporting 2,000 people a day who are being placed in shelters. Migrants are coming from Senegal, Mauritania, Ghana, and Sudan to Arizona. Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels has had enough of it all. He spoke about the Biden administration ignoring the crisis he created.

Cochise County, Arizona, is being slammed with waves of migrants bussed from other counties after crossing the border amid President Joe Biden’s lax policies.

‘The intellectual avoidance and abandonment with intended consequences’ by those leaders in Washington, DC, reference our southern border continues to be a slippery slope for those doing everything we can to protect our quality of life here in Cochise County!’ Sheriff Mark Dannels said.

‘The migrants being released are from outside Cochise County but were bussed to Cochise County, processed and then released,’ Daniels noted in a Facebook post.

‘I applaud the local [Customs and Border Protections] agents and their leadership for doing all they legally can during this on-going crisis.’

It’s unclear exactly how many migrants the processing facilities in Tucson can accommodate or how many have been transported to other locations such as Cochise County.

Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, said last week that the House Department of Homeland Security appropriation bill is centered around border security. Zinke wants to restart building the border wall in response to the Biden border crisis at the southern border. He also wants to cut spending and eliminate “woke” funding sources. “We said we’d do two things: We’d curb the spending, and we would remove the woke,” Rep. Ryan Zinke, R-Mont., told Fox News Digital in an interview this week.

The appropriations bill for DHS includes a slew of Republican priorities when it comes to the border, including increasing funding for wall construction along the southern border by over $2 billion, and would force the agency to allocate the funding to build it within 120 days. It is expected to move forward next week.

“People ask me, ‘What does a bill look like?’ I say, ‘Well, primarily it looks about 32 feet tall and about 600 miles long. That’s what it looks like.'”

It would also provide funding for 22,000 Border Patrol agents and fund border security technology with $228 million.

“You have more money directed to the men who man the wall. That’s our Border Patrol professionals, because, you know, they’re having a hard time recruiting and those type of things, so it puts more money on actually the people that man the wall and then increases the technology around the wall,” he said.

That would include Autonomous Surveillance Towers and Tactical Aerostats — the administration grounded those aerostats last year. Separately, it would fund ICE to the tune of nearly $10 billion.

He also pointed to language that would prevent funding for “gender-affirming care” for illegal immigrants in detention and for diversity, equality and inclusion programs and add restrictions on programs that include critical race theory.

The bill will be open to amendments, of which a number of Republicans have proposed a number of hard-hitting amendments — including reducing Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ salary and defunding “sanctuary” cities. Zinke said he expects the bill to remain roughly the same after the amendment process.

Congress will have to take control and legislate border security because Joe Biden will not secure the border. Unfortunately, the Senate is controlled by Democrats and they are fine with the porous border. Joe Biden opened up the southern border with strokes of his pen on his first day in office. He has signed executive orders to reverse programs and policies that worked for the previous administration. His actions have resulted in the Biden border crisis, a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis. This is intentional.
