This is how Ron DeSantis would shut down a foul-mouthed Gen Z congressman's attack

Representative Maxwell Frost (D-FL) is the first Generation Z congressman. Because of that distinction, he was called on stage last night by the band Paramore during a concert in Washington, D.C. He was up on stage in no time and hugged lead singer Hayley Williams. She asked if he had anything he wanted to say to the audience.

Let me begin by saying I had no idea who Paramore was or if I have ever heard any of their songs. I had to Google them. So, when Frost was handed the microphone to address the crowd, which looked to be a large audience, of all the things he could have said in that moment, he chose to say, “F*** Ron DeSantis, F*** fascism.” How eloquent. Florida is well-represented by this guy, eh? DeSantis was re-elected in a landslide and this bozo spews profanity in Washington, D.C. about the Governor of Florida. Remember when politicians used to at least pretend to be civil human beings?

DeSantis is not a fascist, of course, but even if he was, why not take that opportunity to promote his party’s candidate in 2024, which will be Biden? It just proves that Democrats have no idea what the word means. He doubled down on his foul-mouthed rant when confronted on it.

What a lightweight. He may have been too distracted by his excitement about being on stage and singing and dancing with the band to be a rational human being. Or, maybe he is just a jerk.

An equally eloquent politician praised Frost’s moves.

Funny that this is in the news today. Earlier this week I almost wrote about this band (that is when I originally Googled them) and the singer’s rant against DeSantis to the audience. I guess this is her thing now.

At the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, N.J., last weekend she encouraged attendees not to support DeSantis in the Republican primary, saying, “if you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re f***ing dead to me. Is that comfortable enough for anyone?”

Williams has also been outspoken against several conservative laws in her home state of Tennessee, saying earlier this year: “Drag is not a crime. Gender-affirming health care for all, including our youth, is a necessity.”

They probably have no idea what they are protesting but DeSantis is a conservative Republican and that will not do. The media is happy to go along with their outrage over political policy in Florida. Reporters were eager to misname the Parental Rights in Education bill and call it the don’t say gay bill. The word gay isn’t even mentioned in the law. Facts have no place in modern journalism or in progressive politics. It’s all about feelings.

Which brings us to how Ron DeSantis is handling progressive hecklers on the campaign trail. Yesterday in South Carolina, a woman began shouting at him as he delivered a stump speech. It didn’t go well for her. DeSantis was talking about the inappropriate material turning up in school classrooms and libraries. Young children are being exposed to sexual content at too early of an age. DeSantis talks about standing with parents and how it is the parents who are coming forward and reporting inappropriate material in order to get it out of schools. Progressives call it book bans when it is no such thing. The books aren’t banned, they are removed from the eyes of young children and only available to older students. What is acceptable for a high school student isn’t necessarily for an elementary school student.

“There’s bad stuff that’s getting into the schools, there’s pornography that’s getting into the schools,” DeSantis said, before being interrupted. “So the parents have had to blow the whistle in Florida.”

“You’re a f—- fascist,” a protestor is heard saying as the governor paused.

“Yeah. Well, thank you,” DeSantis replied. “Thank you.”

“We’re not going to let you impose an agenda on our kids!” he said.

“We’re going to stand up for our kids. We’re gonna make sure to do it right. That’s what we’re gonna do,” he said to loud crowd cheers.

“Those people like that in Florida are the people we beat every single day on policy. We do not let ’em win. We win all these battles. We’re not letting them indoctrinate our kids – not on our watch.”

The monster. Her little tantrum did no good. DeSantis continued to speak and, most importantly, the audience liked what they were hearing.

Debate policy, don’t revert to personal attacks. DeSantis put her away with his steadfast insistence that she would not win the battle. That is what it takes – people willing to stand up and say enough is enough in these culture wars.
