It turns out that despite the standard stories in the press about actors who are really successful and act like real jerks to fans, there are some real exceptions. Keanu Reeves is one of those. Nine-year-old Noah’s dream came true when he made a surprise appearance at a signing for the comic book “BRZRKR.”

“BRZRKR” was co-written by Reeves and Matt Kindt.

On Tuesday, Noah was a lucky little boy. He met Keanu and the actor asked his name. While Reeves signed an autograph, Noah volunteered that he is his favorite actor. “You’re probably my favorite actor in the whole world!”

“Oh my gosh, Noah, thank you!” the 59-year-old responds before asking him, “Did you see Duke Caboom in ‘Toy Story 4?’”

“Yeah, he’s my favorite character,” a laughing Noah said as Reeves launched into an impression of the overly confident action figure, proclaiming, “Canada’s greatest stuntman!”

“Well, I’m glad you liked it,” Reeves said. “I really liked playing Duke Caboom.”

Sweet. That little boy is adorable. He will remember that encounter for the rest of his life. Keanu’s fans were quick to voice their appreciation of Reeves and his behavior.

It is frequently noted when Keanu does something nice. That’s the thing about karma – what you put out there comes back to you. He seems to be a genuinely nice person. It’s refreshing.

Last year a television producer tweeted about something that happened in a New York airport. He and Keanu were on the same London to NYC flight and when everyone was waiting at baggage claim, a young boy approached Keanu and asked for an autograph.

He not only happily obliged, but then also answered all of the boy’s “rapid-fire” questions about where he had been and if he liked to race cars and what he was doing with his time in the Big Apple, Andrew Kimmel wrote in the now-viral tweet thread.

He attended the wedding of an English couple that he met in a hotel bar. As they chatted, they invited Keanu to their wedding. He accepted the invitation and attended the wedding.

Four years ago, he was in Louisiana filming a movie and made a family’s day. They left a sign in their front yard for him to read as he drove by the film’s location. He ended up leaving a note on the sign and he took photos with the family.

He started a private foundation and supports cancer research.

Reeves’s generosity goes beyond small gestures: in 2009, the actor told the Ladies Home Journal he has a private foundation that “helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research” – but, unlike many wealthy philanthropists, he doesn’t want to publicly attach his name to it. In the nineties, he closely supported his sister Kim after she was diagnosed with cancer. “Keanu helped me so much through my illness,” she told the Australian magazine Woman’s Day in 1999. “When the pain got really bad, he would sit with me and hold my hand, and keep the ‘bad man’ from making me dance. He was supporting me and comforting me all the time, even when he was away.”

We need more Keanus.
