It was a chaotic scene outside the Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday before former President Trump turned himself in for arrest and arraignment. Loyal Trump supporter, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), organized a protest to voice her opinion that Trump has done nothing wrong. The reporting of the protest mentioned that there were more reporters and undercover cops in attendance than there were Trump supporters.

Greene spoke briefly but was shouted down by anti-Trump protesters. Counter-protesters blew whistles and shouted over her, though she carried and used a bullhorn.

In the hours before Trump was expected to face charges connected to an alleged hush money case, the Georgia Republican and outspoken supporter of Trump spoke briefly at an event put on by the New York Young Republican Club outside the courthouse.

Greene stood in a crush of people, many carrying cameras and microphones, mostly members of the media. She wielded a bullhorn, but the crowd still largely drowned her out with whistles and shouts.

“The government has been weaponized against him. I’m here to protest and use my voice to take a stand. Every American should take a stand,” Greene said, as heard on an RSBN livestream.

“This is what happens in communist countries, not the United States of America,” Greene said. “We have to take a stand against the injustice, the corruption and the communist Democrats [for] taking our legal code, twisting it, manipulating it and perverting it into something it was never meant to be. Donald J. Trump is innocent.”

MTG is not wrong. The indictment of a former president who is running again for election in 2024 is unprecedented. It has never happened before. It’s a political trial brought on by Trump’s opponents, not a criminal trial. Marjorie Taylor Greene had the right to go to Manhattan today and protest the nonsensical case against Trump.

Greene is a lightning rod. She attracts controversy, as does Trump. They both like the circus. So, it was almost expected that MTG would do something to show her support for Trump. She called Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a “tool for the Democrats” who was trying to hijack next year’s presidential election. Most people believe that. Bragg even campaigned on the promise of bringing down Trump. Democrats openly talked about stopping Trump from running again for president.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) is a rookie backbencher in the House. He tends to yell and cause a commotion to garner attention. His behavior is not becoming an elected official. Just a few days ago, he stood in a hallway in the House and screamed about mean Republicans who will not turn into gun-grabbing lunatics. Rep. Steny Hoyer tried to get Bowman to de-escalate from his meltdown but was unsuccessful. Then Republican congressman Thomas Massie stopped and tried to engage him. Bowman wasn’t interested in dialogue, he was interested in getting a political rant off his chest.

The same sort of thing happened Tuesday. As MTG was leaving the protest, Bowman came out to scream at her, telling her to get the hell out of New York. Imagine being so arrogant as to think you can tell another American citizen and a colleague in the House that they have to leave the city in which you live. Yet, that is exactly what Bowman did to MTG.

As Greene got into a white SUV to leave the area, New York Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman addressed the crowd and the media and said: “Now let’s talk about the truth.”

“We will never accept hateful rhetoric in our city. Any divisive rhetoric, any rhetoric that uplifts white supremacy, we are pushing back against that in all its forms,” Bowman said.

Then as the crowd got louder around him, Bowman began to shout louder.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene, she should take her ass back to Washington and do something about gun violence, do something about affordable health care, do something about childhood poverty, do something about climate change. Do your freaking job Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Bowman said.

“You don’t need to be in New York City talking that nonsense. Go back to your district. What are you doing here?” Bowman said, noting reports that Greene could be under consideration as Trump’s running mate if he wins the nomination. “You’re here for politics, you’re here because you want to be VP, you’re here for your own fundraising, you’re here for your nonsense.”

Bowman used to be a teacher. Imagine this man with real anger issues and a lack of self-control cluttering the minds of school kids with his ugly rhetoric.

Imagine if a white Republican man screamed at a black Democrat woman to “take her ass back to Washington.” Hypocrites like Bowman are so blinded by their own partisanship that they might not even realize how silly they sound. He was doing to MTG everything he accused her of doing. Someone needs to get the man a mirror.
