Some of the people wore paper crowns from Burger King. As the king was shaking hands with the people, one man took off his Burger King crown and handed it in Charles’ direction. He said, “This is for you if you want it.” King Charles was amused and smiled as he said, “No, I am alright.”

The 74-year-old royal has a reputation for being prickly with others around him. He handled this exchange well, though.

King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in Germany Wednesday. German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife welcomed them at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate.
