Yesterday I noticed a few left-wing accounts on X were spreading the claim that Renee Good was not an activist of any kind, just a mom dropping her kids off. The source for some of this was her ex-husband. Here's Jonathan Lemire, a co-host of Morning Joe.
“Macklin Good's ex-husband said she was no activist and that he had never known her to participate in a protest of any kind.

“He described her as a devoted Christian who took part in youth mission trips to Northern Ireland when she was younger” https://t.co/kMARSpvHWK
Many other accounts were sharing the same story.
The reporting just keeps getting worse for ICE.

Renee Good's ex-husband told reporters this morning that:
1) Renee was not an activist
2) She was in the vicinity because she had just dropped off her 6 year-old off at school
3) She was a devoted Christian and stay-at-home mom pic.twitter.com/tynTT0pM7o
Here's the source:
Her ex-husband, who asked not to be named out of concern for the safety of their children, said Macklin Good had just dropped off her 6-year-old son at school Wednesday and was driving home with her current partner when they encountered a group of ICE agents on a snowy street in Minneapolis, where they had moved last year from Kansas City, Missouri...
Trump administration officials painted Macklin Good as a domestic terrorist who had attempted to ram federal agents with her car. Her ex-husband said she was no activist and that he had never known her to participate in a protest of any kind.
These claims were also being repeated on television by none other than Sen. Adam Schiff. She was just an "everyday mom" in the wrong place at the wrong time. [Thanks to David for sending me this clip.]
Adam Schiff: Renee Nicole Good was just an everyday mom who wasn’t involved in protesting and happened to find herself "in the wrong place at the wrong time."

New York Post: Good was an "ICE Watch" "warrior" who trained to resist feds.

So why was her car parked sideways across traffic? And why did some early reports refer to her as a legal observer?
Today, there are reports claiming that Good was in fact an activist associated with a group called ICE Watch.
Just as many others did in the lefty enclave, Good sent her son to Southside Family Charter School, a K-5 academy opened in 1972 that from its inception has been “unabashedly dedicated to social justice education,” according to co-founder Susie Oppenheim.
It was through her involvement in the school community that Good became involved in “ICE Watch” — a loose coalition of activists dedicated to disrupting ICE raids in the sanctuary city.
“From my understanding, she was involved in social justice … we are a tight-knit community and a lot of parents are [activists],” former Southside gym teacher Rashad Rich, who resigned from the school last month, told The Post.
Another mom named Leesa, told the Post that Good had received training from ICE Watch:
“[Renee Good] was trained against these ICE agents — what to do, what not to do, it’s a very thorough training,” Leesa said.
“To listen to commands, to know your rights, to whistle when you see an ICE agent,” she added.
Speaking of Good, Leesa told the Post, "She was a warrior."
A group called Minneapolis ICE Watch has an Instagram page where they promote anti-ICE training.
In another Instagram post the group describes it's purpose:
MNIW is an autonomous collective documenting, archiving and resisting against ICE, police and all colonial militarized regimes...MNIW is an abolitionist and decolonial praxis based resource...We are not a non-profit, we are not an organization, and we are not reformists.
Not reformists. In other words, they are revolutionaries demanding abolition.
Fox News has a similar story up today but instead of relying on moms at the school where Good's son was enrolled, their story is based on DHS sources.
Renee Nicole Good, the mother of three shot and killed by a federal agent after allegedly swerving her car toward him, worked as a Minneapolis-based immigration activist serving as a member of "ICE Watch," federal sources told Fox News...
Homeland Security sources told Fox News that the group aims to monitor, track, interfere and oppose ongoing federal immigration enforcement operations. The group is present in multiple sanctuary cities across the country...
While the group typically refers to themselves as "legal observers," sources said members will often attempt to interfere with federal operations.
So it seems we have multiple sources, both federal and local, that agree Good was an activist and was involved with this radical group. To be very clear, I'm not suggesting that being part of ICE Watch means she should have been shot. I think she was shot because she panicked and drove her car at an ICE agent in the street, but this certainly helps explain why she was there, parked sideways in the road when the incident happened.
WOW: The woman fatally shot by an ICE agent after she attempted to run him over with her vehicle—Renee Nicole Good—was a Minneapolis-based immigration activist and member of "ICE Watch," a group dedicated to monitoring and disrupting federal enforcement operations, sources tell… pic.twitter.com/yo9hpVHvOh
