Ana Kasparian said she was a woman not a birthing person and leftists are upset

I started the day writing about a trans woman who was downgraded to being a bad “cis ally” because she suggested on Twitter that trans people needed some better messaging. I’m going to end today writing about a well-known progressive who rejected some trans-inclusive labels for women and got attacked by trans allies for doing so.

Ana Kasparian is a co-host and producer of the Young Turks YouTube show with Cenk Uygur. Today, Kasparian announced on Twitter that she was a woman and that trans-inclusive substitutes for that word were “degrading.”

She had a few supporters including Ben Shapiro who retweeted her tweet.

But there were also lots of people warning that she’d just invited a mob of trolls who were going to do their best to tear her apart.

This one made me laugh though you probably have to be a certain age to get the reference.

And sure enough it got ugly fast. Lots of blue checks demanding to know who offended her and implying she has nothing to be upset about.

Here’s a leftist reporter for the Intercept calling her the c-word.

She already has a new nickname.

And of course she’s being called a TERF.

And a transphobe.

And she’s being called other things.

I could go on but you get the idea. Still, despite all of the bitter trans allies letting Kasparian have it, the tweet has 46k likes compared to about 8,300 responses. In other words, even on Twitter where trans dogma enforcers are much more common than in real life, she’s not being ratioed. Still, we’ve all see how awful these people can be when they try. They won’t stop today or next week or next month. They will continue to harass Kasparian until she decides to leave Twitter.

Speaking of which, Jesse Singal deleted his Twitter account recently after years of being hounded by the same people.
