Antifa goons attack conservative columnist, get a beating

Andrew Bolt is a conservative columnist for Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper. Yesterday he was giving a speech at a restaurant in Melbourne for a book release party. As he approached the front door, masked men associated with an Antifa group threw a mixture of what appears to be paint and glitter in his face. As you can see in the clip below, Bolt was not amused and made the goons pay a price:

This clip gives a good breakdown of what happened including another angle on the fight. As you can see, there are three men involved, two who were part of the fight and another man who had been waiting outside the restaurant to film the encounter.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports a group called Melbourne Antifa admitted a connection to the incident, saying “some of our family in solidarity were attacked by Andrew Bolt while they were protesting today.” As for Bolt, he is defiant, saying he’s sick of being threatened:

“I am sick of people trying to intimidate me, trying to threaten me,” he said. “I’m sick of the threats on my life and my reputation. I’m sick of being sued and bullied and I’m not going to take it. I’m just not going to take it.

“We should be free to have a debate and to walk down the street without fear of being attacked.

“The right to free speech has to be better protected – everywhere but particularly in Melbourne. It is ridiculous how dangerous it is for conservatives in this town to speak out.

“If you don’t like what I say just prove me wrong. Don’t threaten me, don’t threaten my house, don’t threaten my family, don’t abuse me – just argue with me.”

Antifa goons aren’t interested in talking. That’s why they cover their faces with masks and why they are best known for incidents of vandalism, arson, and violence.
