Picking up on John’s coverage of a rather shocking story here. While you likely won’t hear a word about this from CNN, MSNBC, or the alphabet networks, things are heating up in the investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden. Now that the infamous 1023 form from a trusted FBI informant has been reviewed by the House Oversight Committee, more details are leaking out about allegations of bribery and corruption involving Biden Inc. The latest detail looks like it has the potential to be a bombshell. During a Senate floor speech, Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa claimed that the FBI source said that a Burisma executive claims to have taped recordings of fifteen conversations he had with Hunter Biden and two calls with “the Big Guy” himself. If those tapes still exist and can be located, this story may soon get too big for even CNN to ignore. (NY Post)

The FBI source who informed on President Biden’s alleged role in a bribery scheme said that the Ukrainian businessman who allegedly paid off the then-VP claims to have 15 audio recordings of first son Hunter Biden and two of Joe Biden, a Republican senator revealed Monday.

Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) made the stunning claim in a Senate floor speech after FBI Director Christopher Wray last week allowed House Oversight Committee members to see a redacted informant file about the claim that Hunter and then-veep Joe Biden received $5 million apiece to serve the interests of Burisma Holdings owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

According to Grassley, the FBI source claimed that the Burisma official kept the recordings as “a sort of insurance policy for the foreign national in case he got into a tight spot.” If true, that would add up to some very sloppy work on the part of Biden Inc. You don’t allow yourself to be recorded when you’re discussing shady deals.

This is potentially huge. If the alleged tapes actually exist, they could do more than just confirm the corruption allegations we’ve been hearing for some time now. The existence of such tapes would establish that the President of the United States is literally compromised when it comes to America’s dealings with Ukraine. How would he ever make any decisions that the Ukrainians don’t like if he knows they have that hanging over his head?

Of course, all of this assumes that the alleged recordings actually have any damning information on them, such as the payments the Bidens were supposedly going to receive. But why would a Burisma executive hang on to recordings of phone conversations as “insurance” if they were just chatting about the weather? That wouldn’t make any sense.

A question was also raised as to whether the Burisma executive still has the tapes or if the FBI has them. (Or copies of them.) If they were in the FBI’s possession, it’s a fairly safe bet that they have mysteriously “disappeared” by this point. But if the Burisma boss still has them, he may want to look into hiring some extra security guards. Just sayin‘.

The timeline of all these events actually makes the FBI look worse than the Bidens themselves. Keep in mind that the Bureau learned of the bribery allegation back in 2017. The 1023 form was created in 2020 after the allegations supposedly received fresh attention. So the FBI has been sitting on all of this information for more than half a decade and apparently, the case has gone nowhere. At this point, are any of us surprised?
