California is releasing thousands of pedophiles after less than a year in jail

The Daily Mail recently completed an analysis of prison records located in California’s Megan’s Law database, analyzing how long prisoners convicted of sex crimes against children spend behind bars. Clearly, someone should have undertaken a study like this long before now because the results are indeed shocking. Reporters looked at the files of thousands of pedophiles who committed multiple sex crimes against juveniles and found that the majority of them are released less than one year after initially being locked up. Some of the worst offenders actually wound up spending only a few weeks or even a few days behind bars before being put back out on the streets. The data is too overwhelming for this to simply be some sort of oversight in the process. This pattern is systemic.

Pedophiles are getting less than a year prison time after a range of horrific acts, including raping kids under 14, a DailyMail.com investigation reveals.

Analysis of a California database of sex offenders shows thousands of child molesters are being let out after just a few months, despite sentencing guidelines.

Current and former sex crime prosecutors said the figures are ‘terrifying’ and ‘shameful’.

So just how systemic is this atrocity? The records in the database show that the number of people convicted of ‘lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age’ who were released in less than a year was greater than 7,000. Hundreds more who were convicted of “continuous sexual abuse of a child” similarly served less than a year.

One of the most horrifying examples they discovered involved a pedophile named Carlos Alexander Nahue. The 48-year-old was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child in 2015 after pleading no contest to the charge. Nahue was sentenced to two days in county jail followed by five years of probation. Two days? Seriously?

To make matters worse, Nahue now lives one block from Royal Montessori School daycare and three blocks from Reseda Elementary School. How is that even possible when someone is on the sex offender list? Is nobody checking or tracking these monsters? A retired prosecutor from Los Angeles told reporters that this trend is even more disturbing because pedophiles who prey on children have one of the highest recidivism rates and are among the most likely of all criminals to victimize another child after they are released.

The California Department of Justice definitely knows they’ve been caught doing something terrible. Within a day of reporters contacting the state DoJ to ask for comments on this story, the Megan’s Law database was taken offline. When it came back up, the search function that allowed reporters to compile these statistics had been removed.

California definitely has some lawmakers who are very much in the camp of letting predators off easy, particularly if they come from a “favored class” politically. The Postmillennial reports that state senator Scott Weiner (stop snickering) backs a law that would exempt LGBT pedophiles from the sex offender list.

California, in recent years, has made its laws against sex offenders much more lax, thanks largely in part to state Senator Scott Weiner.

2020, Wiener authored a bill that would “end discrimination against LGBTQ young people” by providing exemptions from the sex offender registry.

The bill, SB 145, made exemptions for people who were convicted of “certain offenses” as long as the person convicted is no more than 10 years older than the minor, with the minor being no younger than 14.

This is hardly the only case of a leftist, soft-on-crime politician trying to carve out special exceptions for the LGBTQ community. But we’re not talking about any form of discrimination here. If you are a 24-year-old man (because it’s almost always men) who is “in a sexual relationship” with a 14-year-old, you are a pedophile who is committing rape. Children are unable to offer informed consent for sexual activity. That’s the end of the story. And even if we wanted to make such an exception to the law (which no sane or moral person would), how would the courts determine which convicts were actually gay or trans? Anyone who got busted would likely just claim that they were so they could keep their name off of the offenders list.

It sounds as if Scott Weiner was way out in front of the movement to defend “minor-attracted persons” long before the rest of his party. And this toxic culture is really starting to spread.
