Truck Driver Wanted by ICE Faces Sentencing for Crash That Killed 3

A truck driver who caused an eight-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway in Ontario that killed three people and injured others will be sentenced next week.

Jashanpreet Singh, 21, of Yuba City, pleaded guilty on June 16 to three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, court records show. He is scheduled for a July 14 sentencing at Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.

It wasn’t clear how much prison time he faces. The prosecutor on the case, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office and Singh’s deputy public defender could not be reached for comment on Friday.

Singh had also been charged with driving under the influence causing injury, but it was later determined he was not driving drunk.
