Oh, dear Lord. The heartache.

May the good Lord hold these precious airmen, and everyone who loved them so dearly, close in the palm of His hand. I know their memories will always be a blessing, and a grateful nation thanks them.

Capt. Seth R. Koval, 38, of Indiana, was generous, kind-hearted, devoted, a “fixer of all things,” and “exceptional in everything he did.”

He was an aircraft commander with 19 years of service.
