Surf Life Saving NSW chief executive Steven Pearce issued a dire warning to sea-goers after the attack.

“If anyone’s thinking of heading into the surf this morning, anywhere along the northern beaches, think again,” Mr Pearce said.

“We have such poor water quality that’s conducive to bull shark activity. We have two people critically injured in hospital this morning. Just go to a local pool, because at this stage, we’re advising that the beaches are unsafe.”

His words came after shark experts warned of a disgusting reason behind a spate of attacks in Sydney.

Instead of spending all that cha-ching on wind turbines and green crap, it seems keeping the crap out of the water would have been a far better use of their money in the long run.
