WITH remarkable honesty, a senior Roman Catholic cardinal has criticised the weak response of British authorities to Muslim rape gangs, citing the scandal as an example of how ‘woke’ activists throughout the West are instrumentalising Islam ‘as a tool to weaken Christian culture and tradition’.
In an interview with Diane Montagna, an American journalist based in Rome, Cardinal Gerhard Müller also spoke about the murder of Charlie Kirk, mass migration, the rise of Islam in Europe, the globalist agenda, gender ideology and the gay rights movement.
The 77-year-old German, who served as the Prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith from 2012 until 2017, was once a favourite of orthodox Catholics throughout the world to become pope.
Since leaving the Vatican Curia he has emerged as a free-speaking critic of problems within the Catholic Church and the wider world, but seldom has he been so forthright about the threat to the West from mass migration and new destructive ideologies.
