...And it's kind of civilized that you know about how long you have, so you can put your affairs together and make sure you've said your goodbyes and done all the things you need to do."

"This [cancer] is really painful. Like, really, really painful. But it's also kind of good that it gives you enough time while your brain is still working to wrap things up."

"I can see in the comments that some of you are having a tough time with it, but remember ... nothing lasts forever. Nothing lasts forever."

Breaks my heart. Adams has given the world so much wry joy, has been such a bold force when we needed one, and had so few voices brave enough to throw a BS flag.

We wish Scott peace and an end to his suffering. And we do thank him for all the years he gave us such good things to laugh at and think about.

As I said yesterday, having had four members of my immediate family - my Daddy, my precious major dad, my dearest brother Bingley, and my late BIL - all contracted this horror in their late 50s or early 60s, and, watching my honey and Bingster's extraordinary courage and determination after excruciating surgeries and sustained recoveries, I wouldn't wish it on anyone ever.

But I would wish that every man diagnosed take it with deadly seriousness, as my guys did.

I would urge every man reading this to start getting their PSA test yearly if they have been putting them off for some reason. That test caught both Bingley and major dad's, and I thank God for it every day.

I still have them both thanks to it.
