If the rat population is booming in cities around the world it's not because of emissions. It's because:

1. There are more and more people, especially homeless, who don't properly dispose of more food and other waste.

 2. City governments have stopped using rodenticides and other effective rat control programs.  

3. In any event, urban temperatures have not warmed because of emissions (emissions have no effect) but because of the urban heat island effect.
