New: DNC Chair Confirms Harris Clinched Nomination in Virtual Roll Call

"I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday," DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in a statement.

The virtual roll call began Thursday morning but will not officially end until Monday evening. The party originally opted to hold the virtual roll call ahead of the Democratic National Convention in order to comply with an Ohio law requiring that party's certify their nominees within 90 days of the election.

So Democrats are stuck with her. Or are they? Depends on what transpires, right? We thought they were stuck with Biden, too, before they decided to "defend democracy" by negating 50 state primaries and caucuses and preventing delegates from having any real choice at the convention.
