It Just Doesn't Matter Which Democrat Faces Trump

Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley said Sunday it “doesn’t matter” which Democratic candidate former President Trump faces in the 2024 general elections, saying any Democrat would embrace the same policies of this administration.

In an interview on “The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt,” Whatley also cast doubt on the likelihood that Democrats would replace President Biden as their presumptive 2024 nominee, noting Biden would need to make the choice himself, which he seems unlikely to do.

“There is no process that would allow for them to have an insurgency and remove him from their convention unless he’s going to step down. And we certainly don’t see any indication of that coming out of his conversations over the last couple days,” Whatley said.

“Secondly, not a single one of those Democrats is going to put a different proposal on the stage than what Joe Biden has proposed. None of them are going to have different policy positions. All of them are going to double down on all of the same policies that Joe Biden has unleashed on America,” Whatley added.
