The White House has recently promoted Tyler Cherry, former Interior Communications Director who gained attention for controversial remarks, to a senior communication position under the Joe Biden administration.
Cherry, who had been working at the Interior Department for Secretary Deb Haaland, took charge as the Associate Communications Director at the White House, Fox News reported.
The new role involves handling communications for the White House Climate Policy Office, working with National Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi and coordinating with the White House press office on climate and energy policy announcements.
