Biden Administration Needs a Real Iran Policy

Iran is the sworn enemy of every American – just ask them. Iranian school children wake up each morning and are made to chant “Death to the USA, death to Israel.” The regime has escalated its aggression in recent months; its proxies in Yemen, Houthi warlords, have at times ground global trade to a halt by attacking ships in the Red Sea. It launched a direct attack on Israel this month using killer drones and long-range missiles. And American blood has been spilled, with Iranian-backed militias bombing U.S. military sites in February, attacks that killed three U.S. service members and wounded 40 others.

Iran knows its enemy, has named its enemy, and is attacking its enemy.

The Biden administration, on the other hand, seems content to ignore this uncomfortable problem, and at times treats the Iranians more like friends.

The Biden administration has an Iran policy: Barack Obama's. And that is an appeasement policy that began as soon as Obama launched his campaign and picked Rob Malley as one of his key foreign-policy advisors on the campaign. When it came out that Malley had met with Hamas -- a violation of the State Dept terror-list prohibition -- Malley left the campaign but came into the administration later. Malley's mission was to craft an appeasement campaign that lasted through his Iran nuclear deal and all the way until Malley got caught doing something ...

It's a bad policy, but it's an unfortunately all-too-real policy. The only way that policy will change will be to get rid of the Biden-Obama foreign policy team.
