Trump to Appeal Fraud Judgment On Basis of No Fraud

Donald Trump is to challenge Judge Arthur Engoron's definition of fraud that led to a $355 million judgment in the former president's New York trial.

"The case raises serious legal and constitutional questions regarding 'fraud' claims/findings without any actual fraud," Chris Kise, Trump's principal lawyer in the case, told Newsweek.

Ya think? A higher court should have pulled the plug on this earlier, but appellate courts do not like to insert themselves into the fact-finding mission of the trial court. All that happened here is that Trump exaggerated the valuations for loans, the lenders did their own due diligence and lent the money anyway, and then got paid back. No one lost any money, which makes the "fraud" allegation laughable on its face and the $355 million penalty an obscenity.
