Two of Three KC Shooters Are Juveniles. So Are Half Their Victims

Preliminary findings suggest the shooting that killed at least one person and wounded more than 20 others at a Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally had no link to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism, and instead was a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire, officials said Thursday.

Two of three suspects police detained for investigation are juveniles, Police Chief Stacey Graves said. Their relationship to one another, and whether they were previously known to law enforcement is still under investigation, she said. ...

Officials have identified 22 victims between the ages of 8 and 47; half are under 16.

This may explain why police have not yet identified the shooters or their precise motivations. They should identify the adult among the three, though, and the reluctance to do so raises some questions about the motives of prosecutors. 

Right now, this looks like a gang fight. "Dispute between several people" sounds very euphemistic, but perhaps there will be another explanation.
