NYU Spokesperson John Beckman stated on Thursday, “To be clear, Mr. [Amin] Husain has been suspended and is not currently teaching any classes at NYU,” according to the university’s website.

“All members of our community must adhere to the University’s discrimination and anti-harassment policies; we investigate all complaints we receive and take appropriate action, which may include taking measures such as suspension,” Beckman stated.

In a video published Thursday by The Free Press, Husain (pictured) tells students at The New School in Manhattan, “Don’t take what the media says.”

“It’s really important,” Husain said, according to the news outlet. “Because these kind of questions try to put you on the defensive. They try to say. . . ‘Oh my God, you’re supporting rapists and people that behead babies,’ both of which, you know, whatever, we know it’s not true.”

[Husain was an adjunct professor. ‘Adjunct’ is Academia-ese for “entirely disposable.” Given that Hamas recorded and propagated its own atrocities for their delight and the delight of the Gazans, Husain’s contributions to education seem 100% disposable indeed. — Ed]
