Weiss, a former New York Times journalist who founded The Free Press in 2020 and is proudly Jewish, has been vocal in her criticism of Hamas and the need for honest coverage of the war since it began on October 7.

[Usually, I’d take some comfort in the knowledge that it only takes one coward to do something like this and resist the urge to call it a trend. After watching the cultural elite go all-in for Hamas in the past two weeks, this isn’t an issue with just one coward. It might not be 1939 again or even 1935, but it’s sure looking like 1933 again, at least. And this time, it’s here in America. Good Lord. — Ed]
