The Untied States’ only Muslim-majority city, Hamtramck’s city council voted in mid-June to restrict the flags flown on public property to the U.S., Michigan, and city flags, as well as a flag representing the countries from which many residents hail, and the prisoner of war flag.
Commissioners Russ Gordon and Cathy Stackpoole were removed on Tuesday for defying the ban, Fox News reported.
