The Mayor of the City of South Fulton is facing charges after a Saturday morning arrest.
Mayor Khalid Kamau was taken into custody on Saturday, later being released from custody around 8 p.m. after receiving an $11,000 bond.
According to Fulton County Jail records, Kamau was charged with criminal trespass and first-degree burglary.
[Apparently this is a “twin” city of Atlanta, and there are some very peculiar goings on in this case. Should be interesting watching it shake out, as he’s also a BLM affiliated activist, socialist and in the middle of a throwdown with the local, very-well respected police chief. More detail in the thread below. The mayor has been released, apologized for “embarrassing” the city, and see where this goes from here. Hopefully not up in flames. ~ Beege]
