America's Letter Turner lawyers up, claims no raises in 18 years

However, it remains to be seen whether Sajak’s longtime letter-turner, Vanna White, 66, will be joining Seacrest on the revamped program.

White, who has appeared on “Wheel” since 1982, has reportedly lawyered up in the wake of Sajak’s retirement amid claims she hasn’t had a pay rise in 18 years.

According to Puck News, White has been making around $3 million a year since 2005 and has only received bonuses, not raises, during that time period. …

Now, White is said to have hired “aggressive” powerhouse attorney Bryan Freedman, who has represented a slew of Hollywood heavyweights during their disputes with networks.

[Three mil a year is pretty good money, but Sajak was making more like $15 million. A pay raise scale might have been a good idea, considering how this ends up looking. One has to wonder, though, why White and her agent didn’t do more to negotiate that with the production company/network. — Ed]
